Re: MSS in a Kifaru stuff sack?

Here you go. I could only fit the 2 bags (no bivy) in a 5 strong large. I usually just roll them up in the bivy after I stuff them

I have to agree. Seems hokey.

I am a fan of their emergency fire starter though:

Re: Why would you NOT buy a Sawyer water filter?

I broke down and bought a Mini. When LifeStraw is compared to just the Sawyer it sure seems so. But that Sawyer is not complete, you need a bit more to have the full necessity of the Sawyer. The bag is about the same general size as the Sawyer, the back flush syringe a bit bigger than the filter. Ma...

I miss the OD and coyote(ish) scheme on the prosilver. The user names and icons on the right are sending my OCD into overdrive. Is there a way to change that?

I've never used or handled a Life Straw, but to back flush, couldn't you just blow through it?

Not the first tent maker to come up with this, Nemo has been doing it for awhile. And they sell cheaper and lower weight tents. http://www.nemoequipment.com/explore/technology/airsupported-technology/ I knew I had seen something similar before but couldn't remember who made it. I don't think this is for me but it's an interesting concept/design. All you need to do is inflate it.

Re: Why would you NOT buy a Sawyer water filter?

I'm constantly going back and forth on getting one of these. I guess I really don't need one since my Frontier Pro is my back up and can be used the same way. But the price + specs are hard to pass up. If the squeeze bags are the only week point and it can screw onto most normal bottle tops (which a...

I don't know what you expected from a muscleblog called "chaos and pain" and targeted at powerlifters. That said, people hate going to the gym because it's hard. Anecdotally, I've never seen anyone being openly mocked in a gym unless they were being an obnoxious meathead ("SCREAM LOUDER DOING THOSE...

Are the sizes Medium and Large just for height? I've never bought gaiters before. If the sizes go by, say, shoes size, I wear a size 9. And I'm 5'5" / 5'6"

Is one fabric more water proof/resistant than the other?
