Re: Solar Flare "Coronal Mass Ejection".

Pardon if I'm getting off-topic, but my interpretation of a Carrington-type event was thus: As the sun-stuff goes through the atmosphere, it starts to electrify large/long metal objects... Like fences, electrical lines, tele-lines, oil pipes, and the like. Would this entire process be enough to elec...

Re: Solar Flare: the most realistic PAW scenario.

Hey Crypto, how exactly would those satellites be maneuvered? And if the were shut down... Wouldn't they lose altitude control? Just asking cuz I don't know, rather than arguing a point.

Re: Crossdressing - hiding your gender and why

Remember how many looks the son in The Road was getting? If you're not a butch-y woman, you'll prolly get those same looks if you're dressed like a man. You'll just look like a feminate man... A girly man... And some guys (rapists) will think: "you sure have a pretty mouth." Before making a pass at ...

Re: "Walking Dead" New Cable Series

Q: The comic book series didn't include a story about the CDC. What is the motivation behind that part of the show? -- Andrew Neisess A: That was something Frank [Darabont] came at me with very early on. And I think that it's a good idea: When you're in that area, and there exists something like th...

Re: Zombie Combat Manual

Y'mean that faux-TM? Saw it, browsed it, noticed the graffitied weapons, put it down. If you're going to read a manual of this sort, I would recommend Max Brooks' book, but then again, I wouldn't recommend a survival manual of this sort.

Y'know... If you're talking about TEOTWAWKI, then your little family is probably going to get really close some day... Especially if the only one's you're "inviting" over are family, instead of friends/coworkers/acquaintences.

Re: "Walking Dead" New Cable Series

They're really screwing over the wife's character. In the graphic novels, her and the parter only screw once, outside Atlanta, when they realize that they can't get in, and she's an emotional train-wreck (he admits to have "been wanting to do this a long time"). After that, she pushes him away every...

Having been in the hospitals of Little Rock (lately, since my baby's at ACH), and Fort Smith (often since i've lived there my entire...
