Re: The Suburban Shotgun: Is it really needed?
My HD shotgun/handgun is a 230 dollar Maverick 88 and a 125 dollar Ruger KP91 .40 cal I chose it in the event that I have to use them for self defense, it will sit in an evidence locker for 6-12 months as is standard proactive by our counties prosecutor which means it isn't too much of a loss and I ...

I cant be the first guy to damage a lower assembling it, can I? I snapped off one of the 'ears' for the trigger guard driving the roll pin in. dam thing was a little too big, and didn't go through the hole. who else had done something like this? I used to repair those fairly often. If you can braze...

Re: Cleaning a blood caked gun
Soak in simple green. He should probably sell the gun - bad juju. And reconsider his choice of ammo......he's still here. His M&P is a non external safety. First round in the chamber was a WWB 115 grain FMJ (don't ask me why) and the other 17 in the mag were Hornady CD 135 grain. One shot was fired...

Cleaning a blood caked gun
So my buddy had an incident last year involving self defense and the use of a firearm. He had his weapon turned against him and a shot rang out into his chest but he was able to recover his gun after the muggers took off. He holstered it but where the exit would was, he bled all over his 9mm in the ...

Bought one a few weeks back. Fits almost perfect if a bit too short in the waist and baggy in the chest, but my torso is shaped weird so I'm very happy with itmoab wrote:These are on sale for $25.88 at TAG all sizes S to XL.

Re: Water tablet expiration
Personally I would replace them and put them in a baggee labeled "expired" and keep them for a few more years. Assuming of course they are still sealed. These are not OK one day and deadly the next day. They may have lost potency but they should not be toxic. Everything deteriorates and I believe th...

Water tablet expiration
So I've got about 3 or 4 packs of katadyn Micropur MP1 tablets ( single tablet in foil packets) from various USGI surplus IFAK kits that expired in 2013, should I just toss them and get new ones or keep them around for later use? Id hate to throw away usable water purification tablets but if they wo...

Re: whats your opinion on a folding saw.
Anyone use a Gerber Myth folding saw? I just received one. How is it on wood? I don't saw many bones and am wondering if this would even work for me. Thanks I haven’t read any real bad reviews on Gerber’s new saw. The only issue is that they combine both large and small teeth so it can handle both ...

Re: What's your effective range?
I chose up to 300m because that's the farthest I've been able to go and that was just to confirm zero on my RDS. 50 percent of the time I'm shooting 75 yards and under with the majority being at 50 and under due to my local range and time constraints for going up into the hills. I'm hoping thought w...

Boresnakes and q tips on my guns
Ballistol on my Glock's barrel, but EWL2000 on the slide rail
EWL200 on my AR's BCG and a boresnake soaked in Remoil down the bore.
I just haven't put enough rounds down range to justify a good scrib.

Tactical Tailor EROP- A new BOB?
So I'm in the market for a new (well another) pack. I love my Kelty Coyote 80, but its just too big for the treks I've been taking thanks to work/school/life :vmad: . I've got an ALICE pack I've modified for the hellcat specs, but its too small/uncomfortable for more than a extended overnighter this...

Didn't see this in the forums with a search so I thought I'd bring it to y'alls attention. Mostly because I think it needs to be boosted and I wouldn't mind playing with you guys.
