The first pic reminds me of the Vector CP1.

Franchi 12ga. o/u shotgun. Hardly used, like new, the action is still factory stiff. Preowner had some fluid running over the barrels which corroded the black chroming Franchi uses on the barrels, so the gun looks heavily used, which it isn't. I'll try my luck with exhaust spray (You know, the stuff...

Re: Zombie Outbreak - Everyone Bug-Out!

Right now? As in "WTF RIGHT NOW?" ... I'd think I am dead meat. I am at work right now, babysitting a concert. Which means, I have 900 possibly infected between me and my car. Still, I could seal the doors facing my direction on my way down, that would be three doubled winged ones, one on each floor...

Another bargain: Norinco EM 332 in .22lr. Mint Condition, aside from the stock that has received a sub-par paint job from the previous owner.

30,- €

For a nicely blued finish, three 5-round mags a little scope on it, decent work of the action and detachable swivel "things".

Re: A Dog Poop compass?

If you really want to test yourself try using a blindfold and orient yourself. I remember watching an episode of Mythbusters that people who were blind folded couldn't even walk in a straight line even though they thought they were. AFAIK, that is a matter of strength, as in: Your stronger leg will...

Re: benefits to training your dog in foreign languages.

I'm kinda amazed that this is actually big enough of a concern, especially the "countercommand" thing. The dogs I know respond to their "Superiors" in a decreasing matter. That means: My dog responds to my commands the best, second best to my wife's, dog started to respond to elder smueling's comman...

Re: Firearms Chat: Stipple that, home edition

So if you owned enough private land to build a range, you could use said 30-rounders legally? Land is not the biggest issue. It's the money one would have to spend to take all the hurdles required to make a piece of land a "range". There are quite a few. Also, when you think of a range, we're talki...

Re: Firearms Chat: Stipple that, home edition

To add to what TODP said: Your magazine capacity is only regulated when either hunting (2+1) or competing (10). When going to the range, you might as well put in a 30 rounder and go for it, as long as the guy owning the range AND the supervisor for the range is cool with it. Given the conservative P...

Re: What are you playing?

The last few I rented ... Cowa Dooty: Ghosts. Like any other game from the franchise, you basically play a Bruckheimer movie. 10 mins of pewpewpew followed by 5 mins of scripted CGI movie, then some more minutes of pewpewpew. Boring and short. (skip the "That's what she said" - jokes, puleez.) Crysi...

There is this nice VNS Sauer O/U 12 gauge at my local gunsmith. Fits like a glove.

I think I better say goodbye to 350 €s. :?

There's a .243Win coming my way in january. Looking forward to it. Woot! Grats! I've often debated a new caliber to add to my list. I've tossed around the idea of a .243Win and a .257 Roberts, just haven't had to time to sit down and do more research. I had an H&R 25-06 but sold it to my brother si...

Cheap scope for the .22WMR. I wanna try how far I can go with that B-Stock scope. Could be The Suck, could be okay. Work keeps me from range time.

I "accidently" purchased this one on a gun auction platform. 37€. Turned out to be a Norinco JW15D. Sturdy little rifle, 9 round mag. The action and mag feed is a bit stiff, but some maintenance will do, I think. Looking forward to upgrading and shooting it.
