Re: Firearms Chat.....Sans catchy title

Meh. Tritium inserts in a steel sight.

I have the HDs on my 21. It's a toss up for me, really.

The dark rear blade of the HDs always makes me feel like I'm shooting a 1911 *spits*. 8-)

Triji HDizzles. Not a target shooting sight though.

I like the stock rear U notch with the HD front sight.

Stock Triji hds with yellow front:

Don't you qualify for Blue Label? A new Blue Label 34 down here is $380 plus tax.

Re: Firearms Chat.....Sans catchy title

I had a M&P 9 with the old trigger (bought when it came out in.. 2008?) It's the only gun I regret selling. I'm the opposite of NXP, I like the smooth face of the M&P trigger, despite the hinge. The reset isn't "bad" per se imho, it just seems that way when you're used to the super tacticle feel of ...

Pics of the holster with clip installed? Puhwheeze?

Perhaps I might go this route for my 26.

Dannus,

If you decided to go with one of those Impact Weapon Components Mount N Slot mounts for your wife's AR, I found a 5% off coupon code. It's "triggerjerk".

2500 fps is the frag threshold. 10.5" meets it, but barely.

Good study about 5.56 barrel lengths vs. performance. Sevetal charts at the bottom of the article.

Thanks for identifying those cartridges guys.

I really need to start some sort of cartridge board. I have all the different caliber rounds just standing on my reloading bench.

I was thinking .17 HMR too. I've never actually seen a .17 round in person, so I don't know if the case is long like the 22 mag or short. I've never even heard of a HMR2.

Re: Looking for cargo pants that are made in the USA

Propper, the BDU/ACU contractor, has a US production plant open for their issue clothing. It costs about 50% more than the stuff they make in Haiti. If you google around for combinations of propper and "made in the USA" you can find a lot of stuff. Fake Edit: I'm heartbroken to find out that the Du...

Re: Firearms Chat.....Sans catchy title

So, with suppressors, on ARs is it worth running a longer handguard over the suppressor if you're using the suppressor with the rifle 90% of the time? I say no. The only reason for a longer handguard is to get your grip farther out on the barrel or to get a longer sight radius if you are shooting i...

Re: Press therapy - reloading room *chat*

You said you already loaded them. I'd pull the bullets and use different brass. I don't know why they would ripple though. Are the Starline and Fiochhi brass the same thickness? Maybe the Starline brass was super thin and crumpled when you crimped the cases.

Re: Press therapy - reloading room *chat*

I've never had issues with Starline brass. I use them for my full power 10mm loads (11g Blue Dot pushing 200g XTP). However, I throw out any brass with bulges, ripples, little tears from the extractor, etc.

I'd throw them out. I don't take any chances.
