Re: Some old family .22s

Soak the rust effected area's in Kroil for a few days. Best to remove the wood stock if you can. Then take 000 steel wool (a brass tooth brush will also work well) and gently scrub it off. With the extent of what I see it should take a couple of tries. Both look they will have some pitting on the mu...

Re: 1990 Fox Mustang

The weather stripping rot on the side windows is very common on 87 and newer fox bodies that are left outside in the weather... A lot of people just sand it and paint it body color but you can buy new weather stripping. The drivers door hanging lower is most likely due to the door hinge pins being w...

Re: This looks Dangerous.

I'm all for an inexpensive pistol/carbine that works... Which (I'll grudging admit) Hi Point makes... However, that Burris Fast fire cost as much as the pistol (maybe more).

Bubba is strong in this one and (aparantly) he will not be denied.

Re: Everyday Carry

I'm a bit of a weirdo when it comes to my EDC carry knife. I have a bunch of knives in my collection but I'm not particular to many of them. In fact many of them got in my collection (ie a very big "box of knives") because I bought them for carry use and for one reason or another they just didn't fi...

Re: Cobray M11/9

I'm sorry I don't have a better pic of mine. http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f303/rklessdriver/Weapons/DSC00852.jpg Mine's a SWD/Cobray mfgr'd in 1986 and is Semi-Auto only (althou it has the slot/cut for the selector switch). It had never been fired until I bought it in 1995. It's been a really f...

I've never tried to IBW carry ours but I do have a Forbus paddle that is pretty comfy.... Conceals easy enough with a windbreaker.

Re: S&W Model 15 "Combat Masterpiece" .38 DAO - Project

Yes that looks like the patridge target sight that comes on the Model 14. Your barrel appears to be from a Model 14 as well (straight dia barrel). Could just be the lighting on the pics thou. Model 15's are a heavy barrel - but they still have a slight amount of taper in them, most noticeable on the...

Re: Chinese SKS - $325 good deal?

SKS prices have been all over the place since the election. Lots of crack smoking going on there for a while. Things have calmed down a good bit and prices seem to be falling in line a bit above what they were before November - but.... It's very location dependant. I recently bought 2 Chicom /636\ a...

Re: S&W Model 15 "Combat Masterpiece" .38 DAO - Project

Very nice Smith M15. I bought one a few years ago that was a trade in from a local Armored Car Company. The pistol range near us had bought 120 of them (M15 and M64's) and the price was too good to pass up. I had planned to use it as a training tool and beater range gun. Then the problem happened......

Hi All- I am currently in Northern Virgina. I've been by the site more than a few times and decided that if I was to keep reading I should just join up... so I did. As I may have something to contribute there is no reason to keep lurking. I am a former Marine Corps veteran of 9yrs (left AD in 2007)....
