What are the thoughts on trigger ridges? My Ruger has them and I hate 'em. I am thinking about either filling it in or hitting them with a file and polish. I like them on a target pistol. What's the best defensive ammo for 357 magnum? Proud new owner of a four inch Ruger Security Six, cast from freedonium in the "Buycentennial" year of '76. Holy cow I feel good about my firearm choices. First rifle is an AR15 I built myself, and if everything pans out first handgun will be a Ruger 357.

I also wonder about this, in the Panama episode the girl said, my machete and the guy knew he had swimming goggles. So why didn't Billy Berger, the Primitive Pathways guy, pick the biggest blade he could swing. Wouldn't that have been more useful than just his k-bar sized knife in both killing game...

Need some pro tips. Looking at swapping my Remington 788 for a Ruger Security Six. What should I be looking at on the Ruger? Obviously ensuring it cycles correctly, but what else? It was a blued gun, but the frame/barrel have been cerakoted. Also, you can fire a Security Six single action, correct? ...
