Holster reccos...

looking for some recommendations for a new holster or 2.

Glock 17 and a Glock 26 both with a Streamlight TLR light attached.

Outside the waist band preferred. I'm partial to leather over Kydex or some other polymer.

Would like a thumb break as well.

Ideas welcomed.

Re: Report Raises Concern About Glock Handguns

2. Glock haters would pounce on the information and begin airdropping flyers full o' haterade over every major North American city. Chris By-The-Throat pauses on the steps to his private plane with an armload of leaflets when his #2 wife hears a chirp on her Iphone. Somewhat nervously, she pipes up...

Re: Neighborhood "Cossacks"

There is no such thing as a "civilian police force". On the contrary, all police are civilians. Only if using the narrowed definition of civilian vs military. Civilian can have a broader definition as it does in the above example. I have no doubt that you know the context that the word is being use...

Re: 10 meter / cb radio ?'s

Hi all, I am in the process of studying for my ham license, which is a real pai cuz there are no classes around here, so I'm trying to learn everything in my own. It's tough cuz I don't learn out of a book very well. Anyway. The only radio shop in my area sells convert 10 meter radios to cb. I was ...

Re: When to use different kinds of prep pads and antiseptics

Alcohol pads, only use on unbroken skin. Isopropyl alcohol cause pain in open wounds, damages living skin cells and is best used to disinfect things, not wounds. BZK's, use after you've stopped any bleeding to clean up minor wounds before bandaging. Iodine, best used, IMO, around a wound to help pro...

Re: Explosions at Boston Marathon

The thing that strikes me is the continuum between an ordinary event and a crisis. What was planned for that day: Running, treating injured, taking pictures, mutual support in the face of challenges. What actually happened: Running, treating injured, taking pictures, mutual support in the face of c...

Re: Explosions at Boston Marathon

Still nothing. I flipped on the news this morning (my son howled at the momentary interruption of Sprout) and some official somewhere said that they're getting 'close', but no cigar. It is pretty weird that they refuse to put out a photo. They post pics of suspects all the time with Amber Alerts an...

Re: Dealing With A Nutcase On The Road

Not too much different you could have done initially. Like the others have said you could leave a little more room when you found out he was in front of you, but I know how that works, sometimes you do not relaize it is that person until you are actually looking at them through the rear window of t...

That's cool then, stick with the rules. Your own kit though, you should stock up......Jack, how do you use the calcium carbonate? How do you assess to use it w/o a cardiac monitor?........ I'm missing something I think?.....Do you mean you have carried calcium gluconate? In a bristo-jet?..............

Re: I am Now a Glock Believer, Any Others?

but seriously the glock is the MOST reliable handgun ever, it a fact. First let me say I agree that glocks are a reliable and accurate brand of firearm. I have shot them and can't complain. However, this statement is incorrect. The winner of most reliable and durable handguns go to the hi-point pis...

Re: Newest handgun...

The Glock has come home for the holidays, picked it up yesterday. The shop was jumping and the shelves were almost bare, the Ruger Gunsite rifle I had my eye on is long gone. Hoping to take the Glock to the range tomorrow, the LC9 is at a friends house getting fitted with a custom holster so I won't...

Re: Breaking News: Mass shooting at CT Elementary School

Just a thought. I've seen and read a lot of posts and comments on this and other forums regarding the alleged easy access this killer had to his Mother's weapons. What I haven't seen yet is any sort of time line between when he was able to obtain a weapon, shoot and kill his mother and then go on to...

Re: Newest handgun...

So I picked up the LC9 and as luck would have it while I was at the shop I spied a clean looking Glock 26 in the used case... Now I can compare the two of them directly, well in another couple of weeks anyway. The Glock can't go thru the DROS system until 12/11 so I'll be picking it up in time to gi...
