Re: It's the late 30's and your a Jew in Germany

A little off-topic but there's a very good series of books by a writer named Philip Kerr that explores a lot of this history from the POV of a private detective named Bernie Gunther who's living and trying to get by in pre-war Berlin. The first few have been published as a group called "Berlin Noir"...

Re: DIY Oral Rehydration Solution

Add a packet of unsweetened lemon-lime Koolaid and you've got home-made Gatoraid.

With a lot less sugar than the bottled stuff.

Used this formula many times, works great for TX of diarrhea as well as regular dehydration.

You're welcome. I can't personally vouch for any of them but I've heard and read many good reviews of the SOLO and the NOLS schools. The Wildmed link specifically refers to a school/classes in Southern Georgia. I'm an EMT in California and I'm seriously considering taking a Wilderness EMT class the ...

Hmmm... Uncle Mikes holster for the new to me Browning Buckmark I picked up a couple of weeks ago. Pair of see-thru scope rings for my Marlin Papose. A 3/8" rim fire dovetail rail, also for the Papoose. I'm experimenting with upgrading the sights and adding a scope, will be selling whatever doesn't ...

You may be technically correct there, ODA, but I do believe that after Defense Council explains to the jury that this show was a work of fiction written for entertainment this guy will walk. If this asshat is really planning for this, I'm positive UC's and/or informants are already part of his grou...

Forgot to add this, in the state of Washington unless you are employed or being otherwise compensated for your efforts, you can't be held liable for performing life saving actions or acting as a "good Samaritan".

Update: Have had no other contact with Lemonboy. I did file for a temporary restraining order, and after 6 hours of waiting around on a work day, was summarily denied, but offered a hearing. So I am taking the hearing on the 15th. Got proof of service from the Marshall's office yesterday. I will ta...

Galloway Precision...?

Anyone have any first-hand experience with a replacement trigger from Galloway Precision?

I'm looking at getting something to reduce the trigger travel and improve the action on my Ruger LC9.

Comments, reviews, warnings, and reccos requested.

Thanks.

I've never been a fan of Liquid Bandage. It would always peel off again within a few hours. Regardless of application. YMMV, though, so if it works for you, use it. Wish I'd had MoleSkin or something similar. Or had realized that duct tape just might work. Prevention woulda been nice. I'm awfully c...

I've been taking a minimalistic approach to my preps lately. I found an brief article on Ultralight Traveling that really puts things into perspective. looking for some recommendations for a new holster or 2.

Glock 17 and a Glock 26 both with a Streamlight TLR light attached.

Outside the waist band preferred. I'm partial to leather over Kydex or some other polymer.

Would like a thumb break as well.

Ideas welcomed.

2. Glock haters would pounce on the information and begin airdropping flyers full o' haterade over every major North American city.
