Re: The Bachelor Chef.

My ultimate bachelor meal. Everyone either laughs or says "ewwwww", until they try it. 1 box Mac & Cheese 1 can of corn 1 can of Corned beef hash. I've found that the cheaper the can of hash, the better it tastes. To me anyway. Directions: Make Mac & Cheese according to the directions on the box. Pu...

Just got a notification that Cheaper Than Dirt has another batch of Swedish Mess Kits in stock. Not sure how many they have, but for $12.00 the price is right! http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ZRW170-1.html Just received three of them from CTD. They are UNUSED. This is most awesome. Re: A Spyderco equivalent of a Gerber Evo?

So, you're looking for a Spyderco copy of a Gerber copy of a CRKT? Yep. :D Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I went to Bass Pro the other day hoping to see some of these knives in person, but they don't sell any Spyderco. I'll keep on the lookout. I'd like to handle a couple of these before I pu...

Cnid: Not to be pedantic, but it looks like you've got a Brazilian pepper, which is where "pink peppercorns" come from. Thery're a huge problem here in Florida, too, but aren't "true" pepper. True pepper is Piper nigrum . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piper_nigrum" onclick="window.open(this.href);re...

Re: A Spyderco equivalent of a Gerber Evo?

Mostly in size. The Evo fits well in my pocket and hand. I don't need a big knife. Mostly, I am just in love with the way it fits in my hand. Also, I wear slacks to work and it doesn't take up a whole lot of room. I can also clip it onto my leatherman holster (the newish style with the three little ...

Re: Emergency kit saved me...

worst case, the non-running key will get the steering column unlocked and the transmission into neutral, making it MUCH easier to get the car onto a tow truck. possible $$$ savings there on towing services and self-rescue possibilities. A semi-related, kinda funny story. About 9 years ago or so, my...

A Spyderco equivalent of a Gerber Evo?

I love my Gerber Evo. However, I'm starting to dig some of the pics you guys post of Spyderco knives and some of the things that have been said about them. Does anyone know if Spyderco makes a knife that is the equivalent to the Evo?

Thank you.

Me too. I EDC a leatherman wave and a tanto tip Evo, semi serrated. I love the evo's size. I understand CRKT makes basically the same knife.

Edited to start a new topic on a question that I had.

Re: $2 Bills

Like for example if you came to pay your $1100 tow bill in rolled pennies at 6pm on a saturday, they could refuse the payment if their safe wasn't large enough or the floor boards in their office couldnt support the weight. Now, 2pm on Wednesday, tough shit...the banks open pennies are fair game. I...

I like my Black LA Police Gear Bailout Bag. It looks nice, it's tough, and it doesn't look too tactical.

It looks like LAPG is backordered on the black one. Think Geek has it, but it's $10 more.

Re: Could you eat pigeons, vultures or rats?

According to the book Over the Edge of the World (a biography of Magellan) , old sailors would catch and sell rats to shipmates as a cure for scurvy. It turns out, rats produce their own vitamin C (unlike humans). So, they actually did help prevent scurvy. You can eat just about anything. Just cook ...
