Re: Milwaukee, WI had a racial mob riot on the Fourth.

liberal application of mace will get a crowd to scatter, and it's legal. it may be a temporary fix (the group could reform relatively quickly), but it would give you enough time to vacate the scene.

Re: Milwaukee, WI had a racial mob riot on the Fourth.

I'm sure they know. Something similar to this happened in St. Louis in 2008 (a large mob of urban kids attacked people for no reason on the metrolink). the difference is that the police cracked down hard on it here. It hasn't happened since. Philly had a problem with this a few years ago too, if I r...

Re: Rumour and gossip can ruin a life.

the saddest part is that some people will make up these rumors, or maliciously spread them, because they're bastard-coated-bastards who can only feel better about themselves by bringing others down. for some it's a (terrible) coping mechanism and they're weak-minded. for others, well they're just be...

2. On the subject of vehicle searches, he said that if a cop asks to search your car to never, ever give your consent. Ever never. Never ever. If you do, anything can be used against you. The cops and prosecutors will try and charge you with anything, if they want to make an example of you for what...

So my boss just got divorced and hasn't settled the lawsuit yet. Which let to the following conservation at work: Boss: "Hey, in case my ex-wife calls, I'm not here." Me: "Okay." Re: Small puncture wound treatment (cat bite)

what they all said, plus:

do not use hydrogen peroxide on open wounds. Sure it kills bacteria quite well, but it also kills living tissue, and a wound full of dead tissue makes it heal more slowly (and increases scarring, if I remember correctly). Use betadine or rubbing alcohol instead.

speculative commodity trading has more to do with the price of gas than the revolutions in the middle east at the moment.

So, the spinous process looks kinda broken. I assume that it was originally longer and angled slightly backwards. That would make this an ungulate thoracic vertebra, as the only cervical vertebra with a distinct process in very large mammals is usually C7, and that certainly doesn't look lumbar. I'...

I haven't noticed it listed here yet, but Saudi Arabia just spent $71 billion to give govt workers a pay raise, in hopes to stem off revolution there. How far will this spread? It's started in North Korea: http://www.asianews.it/news-en/First-public-protests-against-the-Kims%E2%80%99-regime-20861.ht...

sucks that you got punished for helping them, but at least this came to light before those little bastards did something bad. hopefully they'll learn.

edit: stealing a firearm is a major federal offense, and those boys are old enough to be charged as adults in many locations.
