Re: How to night hike and not die.

Very good info. If I were to night hike...Id definitely be loaded with lights. Reflective gear would be a close second. Mainly due to nocturnal predators here Id stay away from it but sometimes you may get stuck in it.

Thanks for the post.

Re: Christmas list ideas - small prep items

I probably spent way too much time thinking about this..but I came up with nothing but what already has been mentioned. Seems like the coupons for quality time would be best. Im 27 no kids but in my teen years, that my dad would say that. Spend time doing whatever. Movies, sporting events, catch in ...

Re: RVs

RVs are being so poorly built, its mind boggling. I would never ever buy a brand new one. Unless it was a Scamp, Casita or the like. Seems like doing conversions in a Van or a cargo trailer gives you best for your money...and wont fall apart. Plus you can design it your way. Win the lottery, get an...

Re: 2017 The year to prep!

I went overboarding on Mountain House few years ago...so I don't have much room left. Woops. But its a few months worth at least.

I also buy canned stuff on sale and am very well stocked there for a little while.

I can't say much on FAK since I havent looked into that much lately.

Re: Simplify 4x4 for BOV?

Ive always wanted a jeep wrangler for offroading and DD. But then I got into the trucks..few trucks later...Im in an F350. Still wouldnt mind a nice Wrangler. Ive seen some of the stuff they are capable of. It is pretty sick.

Re: Re-Evaluating Woods Defensive Loads

I have shot 40SW and 357 mag but never 10 mm, 45 super, or 357 SIG. My honest opinion is why not buy one of those SERBU 12 ga shotguns. The ammo is gonna be way cheaper and it's really not that much bigger than a handgun but with more power. https://tse3.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.YNn_NdCB9qNldrCbsNh7Tw...

Veprs arent legal here due to stock. Saigas are without conversions. And other semi auto 308s are in the thousands. Only reason I considered it

Re: Firearms Chat 5: #pewpewlife

How do you guys feel about $835 Saiga 308? Price? I'd have to check gun broker. For the rifle, a buddy has one. His has a 16 inch barrel. I don't shoot it now because I think it is too much bang. I'll only shoot a 20-21 inch barrel anymore. At this point he is starting to see things my way. So just...

I currently have an SKS in that role. However, my ARs arent put together yet. If all goes well, may snag a Saiga 308 for $750
