Co-worker needs some bux, selling me his early CZ75 (rounded trigger guard). Pix to come. Info, tips? (other than ammo, all ammo, is getting harder & harder to find, & more spendy when ya do find it). Re: ZS Seminar crew needs your help!

I'm not sure what nuke device your dealing with but if I didn't have any major problems through 3 tours in Iraq with temps ranging from 2"s of snow to 135F I doubt I'd have any problems as long as I continue to check my gear ... Mags: You nailed it (emphasis added). 2x in the past 6 months I got th...

Re: Buying a toyota 4x4 in the next week or so

Can't see the CL ad due to work 'puter censors, but my 2c is:
1) the 2f engines can die at such an early age due to oil galley plug malfunction,
2) lurk around (or post up) on ih8mud.com and you'll find everything you need to know about a yota 4x.

Good luck w/the purchase.

Re: How to keep my EMT cert from expiring?

He's Nationally Registered. He's asking about keeping his National Registry from lapsing if he's not currently working. Are we talking about the same topic? My bad, got distracted chasing the receiprocity bunny trail. Back to above statement about local area recert. FWIW, I let my National cert lap...

Re: ZS Seminar crew needs your help!

Every kit needs tape..........I keep rolls of tape on a biner clipped to outside webbing on several of my packs. There's no such thing as "extra tape" is there?! Yes, there is. That'd be the 'extra' tape that is so old/UV/heat damaged that you can't get more than 4" off per pull, or the 1" stuff th...

A large stuffed brown bear/animal that you won for your girlfriend/wife at a carnival. Or from a female perspective a large stuffed bear/animal that you recieved from your boyfriend/husband that he won at a carnival. Oooh, I'll play: A decoy, or activation device for tripwire. A hiding place for ke...

Re: How to keep my EMT cert from expiring?

The NREMT is the same way. An NREMT-P is also an NREMT-B and NREMT-I. But yeah, let it lapse and you'll find yourself making a last minute trip to Bloomington, IN for 14 days to do the crash course to the tune of $1200 plus hotel and meals. The class was good times, but the bill hurts. True, but an...

Re: How to keep my EMT cert from expiring?

Most states don't require you to actually work as an EMT to keep your card current, but you MUST do your CEUs. If and when you get hired, most legit ambulance services will pay for your CEUs or provide the classes for them. Also do a google search for "Free EMT CEUs". They are out there, usually re...

Re: Oz car trauma kit - info and advice

Kudos on the fire extinguisher! That's the thing more non-professional rescuers could successfully use, yet don't carry. What's the rough timeframe between you arriving on scene & the EMS folks? If less than 15-20m, I'd focus on airway (head-tilt, chin-lift) and breathing (CPR mask). If greater, you...

Hola from the land of 'Red or Green'

Another noobie, been lurking for about a month now, stumbled across this forum courtesy of a Toyota Landcruiser forum, IH8MUD.com.

Learned some whilst lurking, hope to learn a whole bunch more by participating, but I really signed up for the shopping...
