Re: FYI: New Firearms Coming to the U.S. Market

Looks like an excellent movie prop gun for shitty movies. CGI some blue lasers flying out of the end and it will be the perfect pistol for a smoking hot, super tight black pleather wearing, female private detective, undercover cop, secret agent, or assassin in the future. Unless of course she is ro...

Re: Shotguns - The most overrated weapon for zombies

Just throwing this out there. The original intent was for a zombie weapon for walking speed zombies where any damage to the brain was sufficient. Walker speed: 3 miles per hour/1.4 yards per second. Brain size: 3.5 inches by 5.5 inches. The moving target tests that are being done are looking at zom...

Re: "Self Defense Tip: Don’t Use a Rifle"

Tips: 1. Procyon already covered hearing protection and meds to make sure you bring your A game. I would just like to add that suppressors and subsonic rounds are definitely your friend in this situation. 2. Sunglasses, and turn down your red dot. 3. Pre-stage whisky farts in key locations if possib...

Goddamn right. Violence of action. It works verbally too. Just make sure you have a quick exit strategy. I am known as the cool white boy for a reason. Rock it. Buffalo Trace is awesome. When you see three of them shoot the one in the middle. I think red dots work great when your wasted but I am not...

His third point on his second article. Fighting with an unloaded or otherwise inoperable rifle. How many people are going to try to swing their rifle like a baseball bat? I don't know if that is what he meant but that is what it sounded like. Doesn't seem like a great idea. I have 8' ceilings in my...

Re: The Restless Dead

I have read the whole thing over the past week. Very nice. I have only played the Left for Dead 2 demo back when I still had xbox live and before my xbox 360 crapped out a few weeks after the warranty ran out. I am glad I played that first before reading this though. While that wasn't much experienc...

So over the last few years I've developed the theory that I am actually in a persistent vegetative state, and this is all a horrible coma dream Springfield just gave a big steaming hunk of "evidence" for that theory http://static.squarespace.com/static/511dcd76e4b0adc428bf967e/t/54646bb0e4b011da81d...

Re: Next Handgun Purchase Walther PPQ

You will absolutely hate..... how awesome of a pistol this thing is. The trigger is on freaking point. I think this thing should be the Glock killer. Yeah folks out there said that the Springfield XD's would be the Glock Killer then the Smith and Wesson M&P's would be the next Glock killer (Which i...

Gingerbread Man has something like that on his Glock 42. I have shot it some. I like those sights. Fiberoptics are pretty sweet.

Procyon, let me make sure I have all the details: 10 yards, par time 2 seconds, 12oz drink can on swinger, start at low ready. Is that about right?

Re: Shotguns - The most overrated weapon for zombies

That test was odd and filled with swinging coconuts and it's been a longtime since I've shot moving targets. I feel the first run should be thrown out, it was more practice than anything. Once I got the hang of using my pistol, rifle and shotgun on it it was much easier. I shoot pistols and rifles ...

Re: Shotguns - The most overrated weapon for zombies

Since GB and I have a more suburban/urban lifestyle, of the weapons discussed, the pistol is the most relevant weapon for us in day to day life. I think it is good that we are approaching this from opposite ends. :D Mostly GB and I practice drills that involve getting accurate hits very quickly. I r...

Re: Drills of the month thread (Dec)

I got a 1.5 from concealment yesterday after some practice and some coaching from Gingerbread Man. Figured out my problem. I am not putting my finger on the trigger and starting my trigger pull early enough.

He got a 1.1. Shit hot.

Re: Shotguns - The most overrated weapon for zombies

I was surprised at the handgun results myself. It should be noted that Gingerbread Man and I practice with pistols more than we practice with carbines and practice with carbines way more than we practice with shotguns. I have no problem trying this more with beer cans at 10 yards. I just need to buy...

Re: What was your first pistol?

First pistol I ever shot was a S&W 4" K frame square butt .38 special in nickel. First pistol owned was a Glock 23. I was new to shooting and that .40 recoil was going to be no problem for a badass like me. Yeah right. Took me many range sessions and much googling to figure out how to f...
