multigun event, what gear to take?

Got any advice for a novice multigun shooter? I'm curious about what gear you guys take. Type of rifle ammo. SP, FMJ, etc? 12 ga ammo. #8 birdshot, buckshot, etc? Rifle bag, hard case, stroller, little red wagon? My gear: 9mm XDm, with 7 mags 7.62x39 Saiga AK converted, 9 x 30 rnd mags 12 ga 870 7+1...

Re: And so it begins - Saiga conversion

I just converted my 7.62 Saiga last week, though I didn't bother with changing out the front sight block pieces. This video might be helpful, he changes out the FSB as well as adds an AK74 rear trunion for the folding stock: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vK0ARvV9qE" onclick="window.open(this.href)...

The 4Runner sounds nice. Is there any storage room behind that 3rd row of seats, and do both 2nd and 3rd row fold down?

I've had a slow moving shambler on my back for almost 10 years. I finally turned and attacked it full force. My student loan zombie is finally down for good.

Re: Is the XDm worth the extra $100 over the XD?

I am very happy with my 9mm XDm, the Glock I tried didn't fit me well, but I haven't tried an M&P. They did recently come out with a compact XDm. Its got a shorter grip, but can still take full size XDm mags. I've probably shot 2000+ rounds with no failures of any kind. And the included accessories ...

This is the age of the internet. Hiding from it and pretending it doesn't exist will not benefit you in the long run. Use the tools that are freely available to you. Print those CDNN catalogs, make a facebook page, use twitter to promote specials, make a friendly presence on gun-related forums :wink...

It appears that the two biggest complaints are: - A Lack of a single link to display all posts within all the firearm sections in one list - Too many firearm categories. ZS is not a firearms forum. - I fear change. The lack of a single link to display all posts within all the firearm sections in on...

Re: this new subdivision sucks,

Simple solution. Create a "Firearms Active Topics" page. This way while the majority of discussion can continue and everyone can still see when a new "pistol" question pops up. It can get the attention it deserves and won't get buried in it's own subforum. See we can all be happy and have nice thin...

No.... that would defeat the point of organizing them, wouldn't it ;) Organization makes sense when posting and searching, but it shouldn't matter how I choose to view topics I'm interested in. ZS: Rod & Gun Club Yes, I understand and often use the 'View active topics', but sometimes I just like to...

How to see all firearms threads on one page?

I understand categorizing the firearms forum to make things more organized. But I am interested in viewing all the firearms threads, is there a way to do so without clicking on each subforum?

The sagias are looking really good, I found one chambered for 7.62 with a quick google search for $399 Make sure to check mississippiautoarms.com and carolinashooterssupply.com . Both are good companies and often sell them for about $350. Also check http://forum.saiga-12.com/" onclick="window.open(...

Re: Whats the current best value battle rifle

$400? Saiga 7.62x39. It'll come with a 5 or 10 round mag, but later you can spend $100 and upgrade it to gain a pistol grip and the ability to take regular AK mags (30+ rounds). I guess a WASR-10/Century would also be an option, then you wouldn't have to upgrade it. I just have no experience with th...
