Re: Firearms Chat: Yeet Cannon 2 Electric Boogaloo

Didn't Classic Firearms used to sell Bear Creek ARs a couple years ago ? I seem to recall seeing a bunch of their stuff on Classic's website, but it could've been another brand with Bear in the name. I know they did ... If I remember, they used to be Morris Machine or something and had lots of issu...

Re: Official Lucky Dumbass Thread

Just put up signs that say, "If you open your vehicle door or window the animals will eat you. If that happens we get to keep your car and stuff." I wonder if you could just put the car in a really big lost&found? :D I'm sure there'd be a few used car lots that would be happy to make a deal with th...

Don't most of these drive through parks have a big sign that says "Keep your windows shut and doors locked" when you first enter them ?

Re: All purpose "Help me build my AR" thread.

What are y'alls opinions on the Enidine hydraulic AR buffers ?

I got an email from CDNN the other day and they've got these buffers for 50 bucks. I seem to recall these things were pretty expensive a few years back, but then they sort of dropped off the market.

Re: Firearms Chat: Yeet Cannon 2 Electric Boogaloo

I picked up a 10.5" 50 Beowulf upper and got a chance to test fire it over the weekend. I ran it on a pistol lower. First shot I smacked myself in the face with the iron sight. That pistol brace puts my face a lot closer to the action than a typical stock. And it seems it recoils a bit more than 55...

I've done the car door/hand thing (and had a discolored fingernail as a souvenir to prove it), but I've never pinched myself with my laptop.

I haven't bought Glock mags in a while, been thinking about stocking a couple extras. Anyone trusting Magpul Glock mags 100% these days? Last time I was really paying attention these were new on the scene and the general consensus seemed to be "great for range use, OEM to trust with my life". Still...

Re: What have you bought in the last 48 hours?(firearms related)

Ordered a Speedfeed IV stock for my Remington 870 from CDNN Sports yesterday and FedEx dropped it off today at lunchtime. Less than 24 hours from time of order to delivery is pretty damn quick. Granted, CDNN is only like 4 hours away from my place, but still. Usually they take around two to t...

Palmetto State Armory PS9 Dagger: $300 Glock Killer At the 2020 SHOT Show, Palmetto State Armory announced a new 9mm pistol called the PS9 Dagger. The short story is the new PS9 Dagger is a Glock clone. I don’t mean that in a disparaging way, but instead as shorthand for a polymer-framed, striker-f...

Re: What is the best/most durable pair of boots/shoes you have RIGHT NOW...

I believe the style or model was called the "Big Timber II". It's one of the construction or work boots the brand makes. Thanks, I'll have to look at them when I'm ready for a new pair of boots. No problem. They're a bit stiff when you first start using them, but they break in pretty quickly. Then ...

Re: What is the best/most durable pair of boots/shoes you have RIGHT NOW...

I've had pretty good luck with the Herman Survivors brand boots from Walmart. They're only like 60 bucks, but my last pair lasted me over seven years until they wore out to the point of being unusable. That's seven years of daily wear and little to no maintenance. Ok, I have to ask, which style of ...

A "Lucky Dumbass" thread would work for me as well, Raptor. We could use it as a sort of 'what not to do in *insert situation type* ' lesson thread. I think you have a point, that a body of "how not to survive" info might be useful. Maybe a "Survival by accident" forum, so there's a direct an...

Do the presentations in public with the press and media invited (open bar will get them there the first few times we award it). Get ZS mentioned on the evening news a few times and we'd probably pick up quite a few new members. Maybe just some zombie-head shaped challenge coins? They could have som...

That's kind of neat, but the grip looks a bit on the small side to me. I've got an old .45 Ruger Vaquero with that birds head grip. It's actually fairly comfortable....they make a .44 mag version, but I don't think that one would be as much fun to shoot. It may just be the angle of the gun in the p...

Just out of curiosity, how stable was the folding butt plate deal on those stocks ? Like did they have a tendency to fold under recoil or did they lock in place to prevent that ? I don't know what other's experiences are. A friend has had one for about 35 years and never had a problem with it. They...

The Samson stock for the 10/22 looks pretty neat.

Not quite sure if it's neat enough for me to drop 300 bucks on, though.
