Re: 13 things (and more) a burglar won't tell you

Unfortunatly, now days you would probably lose and have to pay money to the burgalar. Thats the sad state that our legal system has come to.

Re: Full face motorcycle helmet

Y'know what's an even bigger pain, some goober behind the counter that insists it's policy you take off your helmet before paying for your coffee. "Hey, you know if I'm going to rob the place the first person I'm going to shoot is the first goober asking to take my helmet off, large regular please"...

Re: What do you guys think about this vest?

One thing I have found these type of vests to be great for is as a diaper vest. Laugh if you want but there great for holding diapers, baby wipes and other essentials for babies.

Re: Tired survival cliches

"If you sweat, you die." I dont even get this one. Les Stroud has stated it several times in regards to cold weather survival. If you sweat enough and soak your clothes, then you can easily cause them to lose their insulatory properties. It bothers me because it's an oversimplification that ignores...

Poncho Liner Zipper

I got a good deal on a poncho liner on ebay so I was thinking I would try something that ive wanted to do but didnt want to do with my issued one. I have heard a lot of people talking about putting a zipper on it so you can zip it up in half. The tailor on base said she could put it on for 5 bucks i...

Re: So I'm thinking of getting a Kindle...

There is still the Whispernet which is free. Im not really worried about them charging. The kindle has been out for 5 years or so and there hasnt been a problem. Besides, with such a large fan base there would be a huge backlash agianst Amazon that Im sure they would never do that.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002FQJT3Q/ref=btech_kindle_3g Here is the link to the 3G one. It uses the same 3G network that the cell phone companies uses. According to add Amazon pays for all the payments for 3G use. I had a Kindle 2 until my son decided to take it for a bath in the toliet. Im going t...

Re: What have you bought lately? (Bug Out Version)

A couple of weeks ago I went into the thrift shop on base and came out with bivy cover, green sleeping bag, camo tarp and (what i found out later) a chemical suit rubber compression suit for 11 bucks. Best stop at the thrift shop every I tell you. Ever! Oh yeah, just ordered a poncho liner, butt pou...

Re: Do zombies starve?

My biggest wonder is how do they survive without water. That much activity and that high of a fever would have to dehydrate them very quickly leading to death or re-undeath. I've never seen a zombie stop at a water fountain I just looked it up and a human brain is comprised of 80 percent water. May...

"First line" is last ditch, what stays on you when everything else gets dumped. To be honest, my everyday "first line" is a pocketknife, a lighter, a bandanna, and my wallet, plus a twisted mind and a heart full of hate for all the bullshit and idiots I have to put up with in the course of daily ex...

Re: Who do you save , who gets left behind.....

I dont see why everyone is giving him such a hard time with this one. Yes, he worded it badly and he used a bad example but the idea behind it is fairly straight foward. Basically, if you could only save one or a groupe of people at one location over others, who would it be. The end of the world hap...

The burning alive from lava part or the suffocating from ash part?

Re: Firearms for ZED: Ammo capacity vs power vs reliabilty

Zombies are completely made up. Put some real thought into life's actual danger. It's not gonna happen like that. A $600+ dollar gun is gonna do you balls shit vs that much spent in purified water. And eatable food. You do realize that his post is posted on a site called Zombie Squad in the Zombie ...

I don't for a minute believe there is a whirlpool there, lots of folk lore about wolfs, bears and I guess whirlpools bouncing around the rural villages, probably much like it was in earlier times in rural U.S. Dont be so sure about that whirlpool not being there.
