Re: That Camelbak Taste

I like these myself but I use mine as just a regular water bottle. They are tough. I left mine on top of the car by accident and I didnt notice it till it fell off going at least 50. Not so much as a scratch. As for the size, I know that they have a 1 liter one, thats the one that im using right no...

Re: Emergency Blankets vs Thermal Cameras

From what I have read about this, there really isnt to much you can do to defeat thremal cameras. Even if you cover yourself up with wet blankets and everything else you can do, you would still be letting some warm air escape which would be picked up. So unless your shelter is completely air tight y...

Staples: 2 MRE's - This say to me that this is a 24 hr bag. Pick the bag duration (24, 48, 72, etc...then pack water & food accordingly FIRST). More food. From memory, the size of US single "meal" MREs are the same size as Australian 24hour Combat rations... If I eat everything in one (I usually tr...

Re: USMC ILBE Pack doubters

Well, I feel like a complete idoit. I have had my ILBE issued to me for about two years now. With my job I dont get to take it out in the field much but I have used it a time or two. I thought I knew everything about it but it seems I was wrong. I kept hearing some of you talking about putting stuff...

Re: USMC ILBE Pack doubters

Umbrella, Thank you very much. Now the question is whether my Assault pack is going to come with this "grab it" panel. I didn't know about it and therefore didn't ask about it. Its not the assault pack that has the grab it panel. It is the main pack. On the front bottom of the pack there should be ...

Its funny, when I first saw the title I thought you were talking about T.H.E Wallet by spec ops. http://www.specopsbrand.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductID=11 Great wallet by the way. Anyway, one thing I would see changing is adding a Tool Logic card. http://www.toollogic.com/tools.html I personally p...

Pay off credit card, buy a ILBE and put the rest away for a trip back to the states at the end of the year.

Re: Pouches to Spec-Ops T.H.E PACK

I actually asked the same question on here at one point. I was looking for a pouch that would fit on the side of T.H.E Pack. This is what I found. https://www.kifaru.net/minilongpocket.html I have yet to buy it but it should fit on the side. Also if you are looking for a way to fit a sleeping bag on...

Kelty Eagle 7850

There was a guy selling a slightly used one here in Okinawa for that price. By the way, if u live near a military base chech out bookoo.com. It like craigslist but better in my opinion. That is where I get a lot my stuff including this deal.

Kelty Eagle 7850

I did a search and while there are a handful of reviews that mention this pack, I havent found one that did a review about it. It sells for $400 dollars and I have a chance to get it for $220 so the price is right. Just wondering if anyone has any expericen with it. Thanks. http://www.kelty.com/p-26...

Streamlight Nano Light

This is really a review of the Streamlight Nano Light just an experience I had with it. I got it at the local uniform store on base for my keychain and works great for it. Its not amazingly bright but its good enough for a keychain light and is only about an inch long. It uses four alkaline watch ba...
