Re: Where to buy cheap 00 buckshot?

Just got my S&B shells in. They're the clear kind and I have absolutely no problem fitting 7 in the tube. I have heard the S&B length issue a few times before but I guess that applies to the red shells. $105 shipped to my door for 200 shells, I'm not complaining. On both the red and the clear it do...

Re: Kel-Tec's New Rifle and Shotgun

The rifle is available...very limited tho right now, don't expect to find a deal on one. They seem to have been well received by people who actually own them. The shotgun is not yet available, Kel-Tec choose to solve some problems instead of letting it out before everything was ironed out as some ot...

Re: Custom CZ-52 work?

The Harrington trigger kit makes a world of difference in the trigger pull and feel, I think it is the best investment you can make in your CZ-52.

Re: "Survival Rifle" Alternatives

I am of the opinion a 10/22 (my preference...most 22's would serve well) is about the best survival gun out there. It has a bunch of pros and very few cons going for it. 1. Lightweight and easy to pack. 2. Quiet as is, especially with CBs and extremely easy to suppress in an emergency. No need to an...

Re: 300 AAC Blackout - Builds, Loads, etc...

Since the .300BO runs off what is essentially a necked-up .223 cartridge, a light, short-action, suppressed bolt gun using a .30-cal can interested me. Even better would be if its maker (e.g., Savage) offered it with detachable mags (from 5-rds (hunting) to 20- or 30-rounders) ... :) 8-) If Mossber...

Re: Where to buy cheap 00 buckshot?

I have been using the Rio for about a year now...bought a couple cases last year. It works fine in both my 1100 and my HK 121M. It also has a major advantage over the S&B, it is closer to the American loadings in length. With the S&B I lose one round capacity in my 1100. http://i188.photobucket.com/...

Re: Lever Abomination: Cover your eyes purists.

Probably could have one made but for two more rounds not sure it would be worth it. The rifle is beautifully balanced as is and I would hate to screw that up.

Well...I must say that rifle makes my 450 Alaskan look positively plain...lol. However I still like being able to launch a 500 grain bullet at over 2100 fps...just in case those zombie elephants show up... I would also add that for fun loads Trail Boss is a great powder...even my GF likes shooting B...

I am about 60 miles north of Indy...about halfway between Indy and the state line with Michigan. Not sure if it would be worth the drive...this is just a small local club shoot. Long drive for a short shoot...lol.

Re: 10/22 purchase advice

Buy the basic cheapest model you can. First mod should be the trigger, I would suggest the Timney complete trigger pack. For $140 you get a superb trigger, auto bolt release, and extended mag release all in a CNC machined billet trigger housing. Second mod, I would change the stock, the Hogue Overmo...

Re: New old shotgun

Here in northern Indiana 16 ga is easy to find. Besides the local gunshops I can buy it in Wal-Mart, Dunhams, and Rural King...no shortage anywhere, shot, buck, and slugs all easily available. The Winchester shot loads are probably your best bet for practice ammo but they...like all the others, are ...

There is plenty of good quality non-corrosive...it's price is similar to other commercial ammunition. I don't know if we will ever see the cheap Brown or Silver Bear in this caliber...no way to predict the future. The Wolf Gold is made by PRVI so you have those two, S&B, as well as some US brands.
