Re: 1911 Grips

There are some made by Alumagrips, but I don't see the appeal of 'em. I'd much rather have a set of Gunner Grips or good ol' Tru Grip tape any day of the week. I knew a guy that worked at a hospital that said that aluminum had some sort of mineral or chemical or something that was absorbed through ...

1911 Grips

Hey all, Im looking for a set of Grips for my Mil-Spec 1911. I was wondering if there are any titanium or aluminum grips not made by hogue. I want some Ti grips but $395.00 is about $310.00 more than the cost of the metal itself, and certainly not that expensive to work on. Anybody seen any metal gr...

Re: Oh great ZS Firearms Gurus... Pistol ID Needed.

Browning 1903 Pocket Hammerless or a copy, Looks an awful lot like a Tokarev but with a few differences, definatly NOT a 1903 Pocket hammerless. i have one. the grip on this gun is all wrong, the safety is in the completely wrong spot, extractors wrong, shapes all wrong, and the comparing the quali...

I still cant believe that your having any trouble finding them in anything less than 1,000 round drums for cheapo on the net. Ive seen 9x18 stocked many places for incredible prices.

Re: Oh great ZS Firearms Gurus... Pistol ID Needed.

This may be a Ruby though Im inclined as someone else noted to say that its either a Browning 1903 Pocket Hammerless or a copy, Looks an awful lot like a Tokarev but with a few differences, It may just be one of those guns some dude made in his garage, kind of like those ones you see Middle eastern ...

Re: Most practical ammunition for both handgun and rifle?

There is not 'most practical ammo' I would have to say it depends on your geographical location. Say your in the eastern former ComBlok, Asia or the middle east, there should be plenty of 7.62 variant ammo around those parts as well as plentiful .223 and some larger rounds like .45, In Africa again,...

Re: 1911 or bust

I went to Gander Mountain last night (again) and saw a few good deals on 1911's for those who want to know. They had RIA (Rock Island Armory) 1911's in the basic issue format for $499, GI Springfields for $599 parkerized and $629 in stainless. A few nice Kimber Arms 22lr. conversions for $379 and a ...

Re: Romanian Tokarev, Do's and Don'ts?

Ha! I really only plan on shooting the damn thing, thanks for the help though. I knew about the firing pin breaking problem. Other than that is there anything serious? I have had one problem potentially related to the magazine. Sometimes, especially after i cleaned it, the pistol was nearly impossib...

Romanian Tokarev, Do's and Don'ts?

Hey all, I finally got my TT33 Tokarev last night. Its a 1953 Romanian surplus model. I was wondering, even though theres tons of info about this, what are the main DO's and DONT"s for this handgun. I assume that the care is much like a 1911 as they are approximately the same design. Any info or tip...

Re: New Hotness (56K beware)

I like those MagPul Magazines, if you like those you should check out their MIAD fully adjustable grips, they come with like 3 different back straps, hollow sealable waterproof handle holds up to 3 rounds, batteries etc, interchangable trigger guards.

Re: Firearm Storage Recomendations

My metal gun cabinet is bolted to the floor and wall next to my bed. No im not single, yes my girlfriend rocks harder than diamonds. Because it is just a metal cabinet I tend to keep the house locked up fairly tightly. Generally speaking though, a lock with a key is a bad idea just because of the pr...

Hello from Denver

Hey all! Long time zombie fan, first time poster here. I have been fascinated and terrified by zombies since a game called Resident Evil graced the screen of my television during a cold, snowy Colorado night when I was in 7th grade. From that point on I was hooked. Now at 25 Im still hooked on zombi...
