Re: Attaching a Pistol to a Pistol

You can add a "~" to the end of a sentence to denote sarcasm. And guys, adding a forward grip to a pistol is only a problem if the overall length of the pistol is under 26". If you have, say, an AR pistol, with a 10.5" barrel, that can easily be over 26" in length. At which point the ATF simply cla...

Re: Optic for my .375 H&H

I didn't know Vortex had a 1-6x out. I've heard good things about the company. I don't like the reticle, but going down to 1x is interesting. <b>FYI, Vortex doesn't make any of their scopes, they just buy scopes from other companies and put a Vortex sticker on it. They have some very nice glass for...

Re: So My Wife Wants a Drop Leg Holster

Safariland 6378 and then you should be able to get safarilands drop leg rig to attach it to I believe. You could also look into a lower offset duty style belt mount for it that safariland makes. That said, unless she has an injury or disability limiting mobility, she has draw stroke technique issues...

Wolf makes lead free primers I've been wanting to try with some plastic bullets.

I'll second bathroom gun. Many people that carry around the house, don't bring a gun to the bathroom with them.

Comparable price to surefire quad stack 60s, larger and bulkier. I see no reason to get one of these instead of a Surefire.

Re: When TV shows and movies get it wrong

Since we're busting up on The Walking Dead, first five minutes of Season 1, Episode 1 - The cops are at a baracade, and Rick tells the new guy that his gun, CLEARLY a Glock 17, won't be of much use with the safety on. The rookie nods and then mimes flicking off the external safety of a handgun that...

Retro Tactical down.

Went to check retro tactical (which I remember seeing referenced here a few times) only to see a notification that the store will be down for a few months. Unfortunately this notice was undated so I don't know if it was posted a week agor or 4 years ago. Anyone have any idea?

Its probably there garbage gear package. I don't believe they offer factory night sights on the xds. Xds 9mm with 2 mags should be about $419.99 -439.99

Re: Stuck between G43/XDS/Shield 9mm

http://www.pearcegrip.com/Products/GLOCK/PG-43%2B1 ^ This is now available for the Glock 43. Personally, I'd go with the Glock 43 or Shield. I won't carry any gun with a grip safety. If you ever take a force on force class, you may see that the perfect draw and grip you can attain on the flat range...

Re: Stuck between G43/XDS/Shield 9mm

Size: Glock is the smallest, shield and xds are pretty much the same. Glock is lightest followed by shield and then the xds. With any decent holster the difference in concealability will be non existent. Weight may minorly effect carry comfort though. Capacity: Glock is the worst at 6. There are +1 ...

Re: Just bought a P-64 to compliment my CZ-82

Very good experience with the gun today, accurate, hammers the web of my hand a bit, nothing I didn't get used to after an hour or so. Tried it with two types of JHP, FMJ, and a truncated cone FMJ. All worked flawlessly. Trigger has a bit of a long reset, also with the lightened spring, very light....

Re: looking for a reasonably priced ccw, have a few needs/des

If you are dead set on a 45, xds. Springfield ro compact, or ruger sr1911lw would work and be in your range. That said, get a 9mm. Ammo is half the price, modern top shelf 9 is just as effective for self defense, you get more rounds on board and faster follow up shots. The smith m&p shield is hard t...

I Rarely carry a reload. I often carry a second gun. I like having a revolver weak hand as it gives me access to a gun if my strong hand is otherwise occupied, or disabled.

Carefull if you are planning on shortening the barrel. I've heard Auto 5s and there clones can sometimes have there reliabilty compromised by this.

I've got a 38 LCR that was sent to TK custom so it now eats 9mm out of moon clips. I've got Hogues new larger non finger groove grips on it (not sure why it took so long to ...

Re: S&W M&P 15 Sport

Lightweight barrel, unlined. High round count range trips will see your accuracy go wonky, and you'll see shorter barrel life. The lower, IIRC, uses a commercial buffer tube, and the trigger guard is part of the lower, which can limit grip options. Still, the one I had for a time was accurate enoug...
