While I appreciate the thought, I think that if anyone has a replica Frodo sword that they think will be a good weapon, well, I don't want them having a gun. What kind of person thinks a Frodo sword is a good idea?
Yeah but if you had sting then you could tell if zombie orcs were getting near.

... Maybe we could take all practical aspects of their senario and make our own with it? Let's do it. Any takers? I'm swamped right now but I'll help where I can. HMMM most of you guys are St. Louis area right? Cause I'm not too far from there and would be down with getting something like this going.

Someone using a knife or even a sword would probably be hard pressed to take 5 zombies or so. Hmmm the weight of a sword and the risk of getting bitten? or carry 5 bullets more? Tough choice that one is.

You know what I mean....those little white thingy’s.
Silica Gel is what you are talking about I belive. If you need some Silica Gel check the shoeboxs at pretty much any place that sells shoes and you will probably find a packet in just about every box.

Sound levels of different weapons.

I was thinking it would be good to know all about how much sound different guns give off. I know it will vary depending on many different things, but it would be nice to get an average sound level for each caliber and at what distance it can be noticbly heard. Anyone know off hand or care to check? ...

Lock Picking

Does anyone else think this would be a valuable skill to have? Anyone any good at it? I am familiar with the basic way it works, though I've never done it. I just recently orderd a lock pick kit, so I'll try my hand at it soon. If anyone has any experience do you have any pointers for me?

In a heavily wooded area I think trees would be an ok idea. If your's got surrounded in the night you could just jump over a couple and climb down. I think the powerlines is an EXCELLENT idea. You could get all over the place.
