Re: The Sammich Thread (because sammich making is a life skill)

I'm bringing this back from the dead, simply because I made an amazing sandwich last night. Blame dogbane's food pics, shown here: http://zombiehunters.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=51022" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I decided I was gonna make a sub that looked at least as good as...

Re: $100 to invest in ALCOHOL.... WWYD

I'm pretty sure I'd grab:
1 handle of Wild Turkey 101, -$35
1 handle of Everclear, -$30
1 handle decent/cheaper whiskey, -$20
$15 worth assorted or half-pints.

This way, I've got good trading whiskey, multi-use alcohol, drinking whiskey, and variety bottles that are glass and reusable.

Re: Trapped on an Uninhabitable Island....

Geez, Bunker, ever heard of the Kobayashi Maru ? If the only way to escape the island is also in the direction of the problem, it looks like the only solutions you've left are: 1) Bug in, in which case you'll be dead when the toxins get to you or you suffocate/starve/die of thirst. Is there a 1/2 l...

Re: Mom's Journal of the Zombie Years

I started this story at around 3AM-ish on Sunday. It's now about 5:30 AM on Tuesday. I have caught up. However, I've not done much of anything else. I slept for 4 hours somewhere in there, made coffee (real coffee, not adulterated), and had one quick meal. Other than that, I've read this entire saga...

Bribes always work. I got around to typing last night finally and should have a section up for you by thursday-friday sometime. Ahem. I wasn't really around for most of the summer, but since I'm back, I have to ask: It's Saturday in Illinois, and yet there is not moar story. What happened...

Re: What food's don't you like to eat ?

I dislike plain white rice. Brown rice is fine, but I hate white rice. I'll still eat it, but I pretty much have to load it up with either hot sauce or cinnamon sugar. I don't like regular Coke, unless it's part of a mixed drink. It just tastes weird. I like most things I eat, hell I've even enjoyed...

Re: NFA's Response to Swine Flu

Alcohol does kill germs...I've often found that raising my blood/alcohol level gets me through the nasties quickly. Yes indeed, when I'm taken ill, I just try to remember my great-grandpa's patented cold and flu remedy. It requires only three simple things: A bottle of alcohol (personal preference,...

Well the new truck isn't exactly mine, it's our farm truck, but it is new. It's a Standard Cab 2009 Silverado 1500 with an 8' box, 4x4, the 4.8L V8, and Imperial Blue color. I'm in the market for a truck now, I'm wanting a 2005 or newer Silverado or Sierra with the 5.3L V8 and the active fuel manag...

Great update! Thank you for moar story. Sucks about the truck, but I'm glad to hear you're ok. And a new truck? Cool. What kind is it?
