Colorado ZS CPR training

Coloradoan’s, here is the info on the CPR and first aid training. My wife has agreed to teach Community First Aid and Training for the group on the 17th of Dec (if that date still works). You will be certified through The American Red Cross in adult/infant/child CPR, AED and first aid. The cost is 1...

Got the memo around the first of the year, and the one about shooting as often as possible. XD’s only get better with usage (500-1000 rounds a month for me).

We average a good storm every 2-3 years. Up north the storms that stick out in recent time is 2001 and 2003. I think a few counties received a Presidential Disaster Declaration in 2001. 2003 caused more then the standard blizzard shelter. In Larimer Co. we had roofs collapsing all over the place. I ...

I was petty damn young in that storm, but do I remember it (good times).

I teach basic disaster preparedness; in class I'm always reminded of the lack of respect people have for disasters and the raw power of nature.
Your story was yet another example of this ignorance we are plagued with.

I’m a big believer that the more multipurpose I can get with my equipment, the better off I am. This is why I go with a partially serrated.

jetsiphon,
Good to know we have connections close by.
I work in disaster preparedness, and can get my hands on some prep supplies.
Also if you need a first aid CPR class, and don’t mind diving to northern CO., PM me.

I’m interested; I’ve wanted to check these films out and get to know the Colorado ZS group. This is an all in one.
I also thing a volunteer based search and rescue group is a good choice. Larimer Co has a great S&R group.

I am NOT prepared. I spend so much of my time in meetings geared toward planed response (government and community). The false view/reliance that there will always be EM, DHS/FEMA, ARC and other VOAD type groups are infectious. I’m infected, I may have the supplies but mentally I’m not ready. If an a...

I would think a small group would be your ultimate goal (3-4).
However, start big (10-15), weed people out and determine the best operators for PAW.
You’re building a small unit and not everybody will work (including your friends and family).
The zombies will help you thin out your population.
