Yeah it does look nice. Their work looks great from the pics on their site, I just like to have more info before I lay down at least 300 and wait a few months. I'll have to get in shape before I could use the McDaniel II. I wouldn't want to need my sidearm and grab a chunk of lovehandle! :D Of cours...

Sorry, I realize my post wasn't clear on what info I am looking for (I'm on pain meds for a broken shoulder, so I'm not thinking clearly). Has anyone used Andrews Leather before? I know this design is not the usual holster design, and I definitely wouldn't be using this for everyday use, of course. ...

This is quite the discussion. So much rhetoric about a depression and stockpiling gold and such. I very much agree with those that advocate the position that it will be a recession, not a depression and that this is a natural part of the economic cycle. I also agree that yes, most will cut back, bu...

I went to the local gunshow abd walked out with 500 more rounds of 7.62 x 39, 5 30 round AK mags, and enough triox firestarters to last my girlfriend and I into old age. Also, received my 3 Glock magazines and Maglula speedloaders in the mail this morning.

Be very clear on your ground rules, and allow NO leniency. Sun Tzu made a group of untrained women into obedient soldiers with this method. JMO. In fairness, didn't he have one of the group executed? One of ten - or 10% of them. I'm not going to do that in a PAW - it could constitute murder. They w...

I would go with the 308. CTD has battle packs in sealed tins for $110.00.

I now only live with my girlfriend, who will be getting her RN degree this year, and she is on board for the SHTF situations. My old roommates, weren't good for anything in a PAW. I look at it as chess, I would keep them as pawns/labor force. Sometimes you just have to run faster than somebody else ...

Toecutter, here's what you're looking for... http://www.odspec.com/forend/surefire_forend.html Now your shotgun can have lights, lasers, cameras, and a lawn chair. :D Seriously though, you can get excellent vertical foregrips seen on nicer AR set ups with this forend. I wouldn't put it at the top of...

Sup3d, If your wife is comfy with the 9, get a better one for her. If it comes down to using only pistols, her hicaps are holding more rounds than your XD. One person at a time reloading, you never want to have both pistols empty at the same time. Also, get her an AK, disassemble the shotty for carr...

Erik, keep in mind that Glock magazines are not hard to come by, so he could easily bring a loaded mag with him! After firearm and money has changed hands, KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN! You get the money, you leave immediately. Don't turn your back. Sure, he sounds nice on the phone, lets keep it nice. STAY ...

I ordered three extra mags for my Glock 21 SF, and Maglula speedloaders for my pistols and my AK47. Not much else to do since I broke my shoulder yesterday.

Keep them in a soft sided toolbag, it doesn't take up too much room. Why, survival gear in the bathroom not feng shui? :D

Also, I don't know about you guys, but I'm fairly sure breaking through a floor/ceiling is going to nay impossible w/o a sledge. Just go to your local hardware store, buy a cheap drill with a hole saw or wood auger, and a cheap reciprocating saw (sawsall), and a pack of demolition blades. You can c...

Assuming that this is a group showing up at the edge of a small rural town and not at your farm and that this is the PAW and not just TSHTF I would say that two essential things need to be looked at. First is what is the carrying capacity of the town and surrounding countryside. If there are alread...

I personally think that the group should get together ASAP. More firepower, more eyes and ears, & a bigger think tank. The danger of trying to link up in a hostile environment can be readily avoided. Also, this could be practise during weather alerts, on weekends, etc. to lower response times and te...

You can get crime scene/biohazard barricade tape online for around 15 bucks. Also, you could build interior walls (like retail window displays) that could be decorated like the place has already been vandalized from the street. You could even add an extra exterior door behind the blowing in the wind...
