Re: 4x4 Ranger as BOV (pics)

Personally, I'd like to get a slightly newer one myself. The 86 just has issues that I'm getting annoyed at addressing constantly. Late 90's or so, before they went to the torsion bar front end.

Re: Lab Test: Mountain House vs Wise Foods

Anyone else seeing shades of the Pepsi/Coke crap from the 80's?

I'll admit I'm a Mountain House fan, but I have a Wise meal somewhere I got as a free sample that I have yet to try. One of these days I really ought to.

Yup, which is why I'm so mad at my dish system. I'm actually going to have to watch TV live to catch it instead of DVRing so I can zip through commercials.

What a Charlie Foxtrot. Not showing up on my guide. It's showing an Auction Kings marathon. And no results doing a search of the guide.

To the OP: In Colorado, you're pretty much hosed outside of high octane high price gasoline. Mostly due to the altitude, or so they claim. You may find 100% gasoline, but you'll likely pay out the nose.

Re: "The Cinder Block" (64 Jeep Gladiator) Now with ZS logos

I'm going with an aftermarket 4-row radiator from one of the big catalog parts places. Getting an OEM one is pretty much a no-go because almost any radiator made in the last 25-30 years needs to sit in a shock-mount thing, instead of being bolted directly up against the front clip like this one is....

Re: "The Cinder Block" (64 Jeep Gladiator) Now with ZS logos

You going to shell out for a new exact replacement aluminum radiator, or try to splice in an OEM radiator that's aluminum? I know the Explorer's came with aluminum, one of those from the V8 explorer's might be big enough. Or maybe one from a full sized truck. Might be worth wandering through a u-pul...

The local discount tire refuses to work on a tire you've put slime or fix a flat into. And if you don't tell them there's a hefty service charge, and they void the warranty on your tire.

Well, I'm safe. I figure my picnic full of fail with my kiddo has about a .0002% chance of winning compared to the other entries.

One of these days I swear I'll do an MBO that isn't a shipment straight from the failboat.

Re: Vehicle Emergency Bag

Small bottle of windshield washer fluid, perhaps? A lot of cars these days have no way to tell how much fluid is in there. My wife's Focus has it jammed between the inner and outter fenders, so after the first two times you spray it's a flippin mystery when it's going to go empty. So we keep ...

Brake Fluid - I'm going to go with no on this one. There's really nothing that you can make safe to drive if it needs brake fluid. If the fluid came out, you have a problem beyond needing more fluid. If you got to the point where you started to lose braking efficacy due to low fluid level, you've a...

Great, so my relatives in OK have less to worry about for me, thanks to a goodly amount of rain we've had and the fact that the city is done burning.. now I get to worry about some of them. I've got a cousin in the OKC environs, the rest are all up around Tulsa.

I will put forward the metal meat tenderizer as a skull crushing kitchen implement. Well, wooden would work if Joerg were to swing it. Most womenfolk might need the mass of the metal ones.

The electricians tape thing? Eh, there are better options, but if it's what you had, so be it. I've found that in the heat the adhesive leaks. But since that was only one layer, it may never be an issue for you. Grip tape to hold the cord still seems like a god idea, though.

I notice a ranger with baja plates and it was a four door crew cab, son of a b!tch. why do the other countries get cooler stuff?? And its a 2.5 diesel! Yup, that's the new "world" ranger. Everyone in the world gets it but the US, where they felt the size would cause competition for full sized F-150...

Needlepimp is back stateside and taking orders again, so if you want an awesome multicam kilt you might want to give him a ring. Damned if I can remember his forum name here, though. I'm 100% positive he's posted in this thread somewhere. His kilts are quite simply awesome, and if I had the funds, I...
