Re: Random guy walks into your apartment/house

I'd go ahead and learn a few Spanish phrases. Being from S. Texas I've got enough to tell him to leave, or put his hands up depending on what's going on. Also, if you put manos aqui into Google translate, I assure you that the Spanish translation is the one I'm giving you, I didn't know about the P...

Re: Train Derailment in Baltimore - Reports of Explosion

Reports are that the person trapped was the driver of a dumpster hauler that was involved in (the cause of?) the derailment.

Apparently extrication is complete but no word on his condition.

SRSLY.

The last Baltimore train fire put a real cramp in my style.

Edit: Firefighters evacuating the immediate area. Not sure if this is because of suspected hazmat or just because of the size of the scene.

Re: Train Derailment in Baltimore - Reports of Explosion

I'm about 10 miles from the scene. We heard and felt the explosion at work, which is impressive as it's a very stout building. Still short on details, but hopefully casualties are minimal. http://www.wbaltv.com/news/maryland/baltimore-county/hazmat-crews-on-the-scene-of-train-derailment-explosion/-/...

Glad to hear you're still on the mend.

We can't see your pictures because they're buried in the website you're linking to. You'd need to get ahold of links that end in ".jpg" or ".gif" or some such, and that are accessible without logging in.

MEMA urges parents to teach preparedness

It's neat to see a local agency promoting this sort of planning to the general public. REISTERSTOWN, Md. - More than 1,300 miles removed from the destruction in Oklahoma, emergency managers in Maryland are talking tornado survival tips. "Get inside. Get to the lowest level you possibly can. Get away...

What do you plan to use your new tool for? Do you want the extra size of the Surge, or will that get in the way? What is your price point? Are there tools the Surge lacks that you want? I'm a fan of Leatherman tools, and I have most of the different varieties, but there are also other brands out the...
