Re: Questions on condensing MREs

While the forums were down, I was reading through the ZS blog and it had a liitle info. on field stripping MREs and it said that once it is split down you cut the shelf life approx. in half - so its a no-no for long tern storage but fine for a BOB or GHB. http://zombiehunters.org/zss/index.php" oncl...

It is on Guntrader, yes. The bloke who I bought my Pietta revolver off last night is selling it, he showed it me and its in great condition.

Re: Range question - does this seem a bit low?

After Big and Daft said his range allows .308 it made me jealous :p But you could make me (and maybe a few of the members on here) more jealous if you can become a member of a club that does practical shotgun and get Shotgun on your FAC, because then you could get a Saiga 12 - which I would love. A...

Re: It took long enough... (pic heavy)

Is target shooting a Justifiable Reason for possesing a 357/.38 Lever or a .44/.45 black powder revolver. I'm just curious, I thought that although tecnically possible to own, finding a justifiable reason for owning those was quite hard. Also, before my next comment, I gotta say, you are awesome, m...

Do ammo-zone post out, or is it collection only? I kinda doubt the post it out :(

Re: It took long enough... (pic heavy)

Thanks all, very kind words - i'm very happy! The Prvi is 150 grain SP, need to go and stock up on some more. Down to just 40 rounds - I can normally only get FMJ, but that'll do the trick i'm sure. The firearms limitation almost kind-of makes sense, our firearms have to have a 12" barrel and be 24"...

Re: It took long enough... (pic heavy)

Our safes are on top of our shotgun/rifle cabinets, so yes! They have to be bolted to a wall/floor same as you shotgun cabinet. If you have a 'good reason' to want a firearm, then you will be OK to get one basically.

Re: It took long enough... (pic heavy)

Thanks for all the nice words, they are in fact both my dads rifles (he has more cash than me the swine) but i'm allowed full access and use of them, so lucky me :) Our rifles are just for target shooting, we have no land to shoot over ATM. Getting the FAC was quite easy, an old friend/neighbour of ...

It took long enough... (pic heavy)

Like I said, it took long enough. A 3 month probation period and a 2 weeks wait for the police - but I finally have my Firearms Certificate (and so does my dad) They turned up on Wednesday and on Thursday we picked up our first rifle, a Remington 770 in .308 and today my dad picked up a Ruger 10/22 ...

Re: Help me choose a pump action (tall shooter)

I am 6'4" and I have bought an Escort Field Hunter - cheap and cheerful, but it works for me and it seems easy to get in the UK. I got mine from McCavoys in Chorley for £220 I think. It seems to be a 870 type clone and it comes with spacers for the stock so you can adjust the LOP a little. I have mi...

Re: Meet Nellie

Man one HELL of a coachgun, a bit long but the beauty of it makes up for it! Lol, I was going to say it was a bit short! I'm only allowed 24" as the minimum barrel length over here, so 20" sounds pretty good to me! My local gun shop has a double trigger Baikal SxS with an english stock for £75 - it...

I won't be able to make this, my team is doing quite well and we should make it into the playoffs, which happen at the end of August/beginning of September - the one in October should be fine. Have fun!

According to The Stink of Flesh they do, some of the charecters stand in it.
If you havn't already, go and see/rent it, its fucking hilarious - kind of a very soft core porn zombie movie with other ridiculous/strange/funny/down right wrong moments. Most people here will love it :)

Re: UK Chapter Discussion

Im definatley up fo a meet up, camping/drinking or possibly shooting (I may have my own rifles for then, yay). Clay pigeon shooting is a lot easier to do in a group, no special rules or regs, just turn up, sign a form and shoot some clays. I have work and sporting commitments up until the end of Sep...

1 - Boiled sweets are hard candy, in a few different flavours. 2 - Treacle pudding is like a cake type thing with treacle/golden syrup sauce. Delia expains it better than I. 3 - The box is about 9"x9"x4" or there abouts, but as mentioned previously it can be split down. 4 - I'd assume the same thing...

I think it was from http://www.ratpacks.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - it was a couple of months ago now and I think I found the link here on ZS. Unfortunatley they are now out of stock of everything, but IIRC they were the cheapest I had come across - they seem to run for ab...
