I guess I would be considered cheating. I am located on a military post in the middle of Iraq. :) I would simple grab the closest M16 and make my way to one of those new Army Armored Cars and take off. Everytime I saw a cluster of zekes I would simply splatter them with the MK19 or the Ma Deuce.

I would handle it like any other crackhead situation. As she approaches whip out the old para ordnance .45 (Aren't Concealed Carry laws great). Tell her to stay back in a standard military authoritative voice. Once she gets into better lighting I would be able to determine if she was just a junkie o...

Re: my top 10

Then again, another show on the same channel (Weaponology) said that the new HK PDW (MP7?) was the ultimate assault rifle, and said it was more powerful than the AK or AR due to its "armor piercing round," so I don't believe everything I hear on the Military Channel. Armour piercing leads to anothe...

I love Dead Rising, it's a fun game that's excellent if you need a good laugh. But it's definitely not a serious zombie game. You are weak in the beginning, however, you should play just the beginning sequence (take pictures) and rescue the first two people...then die and start over. Do that a few ...

One weapon that deserves a mention and I have never seen on TV is the SAKO series rifle from Finland. They took the AK-47 and made it accurate. I was able to consistently nail the 300 meter target with out any real effort.

I know this is a slight deviation from the subject but I am guessing this fits in. Our Army National Guard Armory had a secure vault for the weapons. It would not surprise me that police stations would use the same model. Unless you somehow can come up with some semtex or have safe cracking tools yo...

Right now I am getting ready to purchase a Rockriver RRA LAR-8 Mid-Length A4 Rifle. I plan on putting a front grip/bipod on it as well as a decent scope. It is chambered for a .308 since I am not gonna purchase it in a 6.8 in case the caliber goes out of favor like the 10mm did in the early 90s. I f...

For the series I am working on writing right now I use a different approach. In terms of zekes I use the traditional shambler however unlike the movie adaptations they do not moan, growl or make any vocalizations whatsoever. The most common cause for these creations is LZ or Lazarus Syndrome. The se...

Does anyone know how to disassemble the bolt and remove the firing pin in order to clean it? I've mastered the basic takedown of my SKS but I've never been able to solve the puzzle of removing the firing pin from the bolt. I would do a google search on the subject to be honest. There are quite a fe...

There are a few methods but I prefer using CLP that we use in the military. We had a load of M16A4s come in before we deployed to Kosovo. We broke down the weapons and used CLP aka Breakfree on it and it strips the cosmoline right off without damaging the bluing. You can also use gum out to do this ...

It is a great game. I managed to beat it over the course of a few weeks playing at work(The joys of being an IT Contractor in Iraq). I am going back through it now to pick up missions that I did not complete. Word of warning never rush into a fight. Always use your binoculars to scope out the area e...

Road to Fiddler's Green was okay at best. The zombie AI was not that well programmed and it is too easy to take advantage of the flaws. I know it is not a FPS but Dead Rising is an excellent game up until you get to the end game and have to deal with some of the other issues that arise. Won't ruin t...

Depends zombies tend to ignore people like Necromancers due to the fact the nature of a Necromancers work gives them the scent of death. In the comic series Walking Dead the characters rub themselves with zeke meat to hide their own scent. To be honest however I think it depends on the type of zombi...

This goes back to my old GURPS days but I always felt that the standard Lazarus Syndrome Zombie would be a slow shuffling gait Zeke. What makes them more dangerous is that they never make noise except from their movement or feeding. Nothing is worse than standing watch on a lonely night hearing move...

The biggest problem with this would as someone else stated the chance of infection via blood splatter. Not to mention you would have to have a barrier protecting your unit's legs from crawlers. Even if you had a full trained contingent of Spartans it would only take one or two crawlers slipping in u...

Greetings from Sunny Hotel Camp Fallujah

Found this site on Wikipedia but have heard about it at a local Goth/Industrial night when I was stateside. I got curious and had to check this place out and so far I definately like what I have seen.
