Re: One-person bug shelter question

So yeah, I swallow the match heads. My grandpa taught me this. If you eat the so-called beef or chicken patty from a vending machine or fast-food drive thru a bit of sulphur and paper shouldn't scare you. You might prefer to buy OFF or something similar but let's say you squirrel hunt every morning ...

Re: Fixing an Older M-1 Carbine

Maybe the smell of some backstrap on the grill will encourage her to go after her pond pork. And, for accessories, I'm still encouraging the use of a FLASH HIDER for that carbine. Although great for New Year's Eve displays, any inaccuracies inherent with this carbine make it a simple spray weapon in...

He actually does sell Of course he does. I visited there again just last month. The story that is popular is whatever it is you want to find. Keep the reviews coming.

This movie was terrible. Really...awful. I couldn't give it a star.
Meanwhile, on a different venue I watched a film about 3 billboards that was incredibly well done.

Re: Digital Painting - A Tribute to Rick Grimes

Interesting. I thought to add a tribute to Abraham Ford: his early poetry from another place and time:

These are my words:
When I feel quiet,
When I am blue
-skipping a bit-
For a while;
For a while.

Ooops. Politics. Methinks that if society were to rebuild under all the people that spend their weekends on the interwebz talking about guns, it could get interesting.

Re: Robot Uprising - Or, what to do when AI Does All The Jobs

Read some Kurzweil. Those two "main occupations" you conceptualize has come and gone and you don't even see it. All that remains is to combine us and I'm not certain about that. Let me explain it like this: Have you ever seen the classic film of the ages titled, "The Princess Bride?" There is a scen...

The issue is not whether you build at home, is it? It's about the plastics. https://www.congress.gov/bill/100th-con ... -bill/4445

Re: Extinction (2018)

Awful film. As soon as the first alien was unmasked those watching with me howled. BOOOOoooooo. Even the National Guard SF guys and the wifes laughed. Planet of the aPeS, build the wall, robots rule, etc. Just terrible. Had to turn it off. Switched to Omega Man and everyone was happy. AVOID this one.

I carry an extra pack of matches. I chew up the matchheads before a night of fishing and have no problem.

Re: Safari Tuff Arrowmaster

I have not used one like that. I use a bowquiver when hunting and find that's all I normally need, but I also have a basket-like (rattan) carry quiver that I can attach to a pack and carry more arrows if needed. I traded for it in Asia. You might try ETSY.COM and search for quivers. There are a lot ...

If you are driving and camping mostly, I'd recommend both. What matters most for hacking and chopping is the edge, (think like a chef) so not the cold steel.

Rhetorical, internet debate. You'll want some more of what you fired yesterday, if it served its purpose.

Re: making your mix bean blends

Harvest to Table says: Ratio: The basic ratio for dried bean soups is 2 part dried beans (or any dried vegetable) to 3 to 4 parts liquid. For example, 2 cups of dried beans (about 1 pound) added to 4 cups cold water or white stock.

I think this is good. Remember to look 'em and soak 'em.

Re: Are all magnesium bar - fire starters created equal?

I've bought many cheaper brands over the years and like to have an extra or two if I am with a group so that I can give them away and help others have the ability to make fire when needed. I find that it is often the technique, or the scratch I have gathered to catch sparks more than it is the fires...
