Re: Alpenflage clothing dye job?

Not to derail further, I went to order some Flecktarn colored "jigsaw" camo from Sportsman's Guide (I think they have 3xl and supposedly run large as well). But anyways, $25 to ship to Alaska. So basically I'm deciding whether I want to risk the clothing for that shipping, or consider joining as a ...

Throwback Topic: What's your top 3 z-pac firearms?

It's 2010... I'm sitting on my couch in my college house drinking beer with my roommates, watching Zombieland that we just picked up on DVD. We might play some Left 4 Dead on Xbox 360 if we can get everyone to pitch in for the game. We start talking about what textbooks we are gonna sell to try and ...

I'm 6'0", around 240 and I'm wide up top (I power lift) so I need big stuff that isn't made for little Euro soccer players. I'm taller. You should have seen me trying to shop in Europe in last Summer. Yeah aren't you like 6'5"? My buddy from the UK bought me a team jersey over there as a gift, aske...

Re: Alpenflage clothing dye job?

Sportsman's Guide has some good deals on more new/modern Flecktarn style camo. Kinda like what appenflage would be if you died it. I'm probably gonna get some for hunting season next year Ya. But I'd bet my last dollar - none that fit me. LOL! I'm 6'3". SG never has anything (let alone surplus in g...

Doesn't mean anything about the show, I just forget about it. Might have to check it out once it gets super cold out.

Re: Firearms Chat: Yeet Cannon 2 Electric Boogaloo

I was watching TGC news on YouToobs.

Looks like Bul is importing their own "Jericho" line.

From what I know, they are the makers of the Magnum Research Baby Eagles and 1911's.

Add one extra manufacturer/importer to the IMI and IWI and MR mix of confusion.

I bought an SKS WITH a TAPCO stock installed already. I gave it to one of the kids and they learned what the term "wandering zero" meant.
I didn't know you were supposed to aim a Tapco SKS

Re: Considering buying an SKS, but...

I would assume that the parts you are swapping are imported and you'll be putting imported parts in. So the net gain of imported parts is 0. Coming from memory, most 922r parts that get people compliance are mags, trigger groups, and maybe barrels. But I dunno.... And Stercutus, I'm not worried abou...

Re: Considering buying an SKS, but...

So I'm looking into a replacement stock. My stock is cut for a blade bayonet, and I have a spike bayonet installed, which is bugging me. I'm pretty much certain the stock and bayonet were both replacements from years ago. I have an opportunity to trade my wooden handguard, gas piston and stock for ...

Re: 2019 - Current Battle Rifles in 7.62x51

If it's for AK hunting. I'd consider the VEPR and Galil over the AR. Although the only issues I've read about the AR and cold. Is you have to choose the right lubricant. A VEPR or Galil is going to run no matter what. But if you can get an AR down in weight and use the right lube. That might be the...

Re: Firearms Chat: Yeet Cannon 2 Electric Boogaloo

I've had stuck cases with revolvers:

1. Reloaded ammo so the brass is "weaker"
2. Hot loaded ammo with more pressure
3. Dirty cylinders (especially going from shorter .38 to longer .357)
4. Steel case with "poly coating" that's sticky when hot

Re: 2019 - Current Battle Rifles in 7.62x51

The main annoyance is that the AR-10 family isn't near as standardized as the AR-15. Can you expand on that? Claude ham mercy....that's a can of worms. One of the biggest is the differences in receiver styles/shapes. A lot of brands fall into two main styles: Armalite or DPMS. An Armalite-style upp...

I don't know a lot. But I do know, studying the climate is insanely complex.

So finding any good answers has wayyyyy too many variables.... Scope and bias and motivation all included.

Till I find a crystal ball, I just assume everyone is wrong.
