Re: Hunting Feral Hogs
I think all your options are good for "primary" hunting roles, except for maybe the Governor which I would only stick with .45LC loads as a sidearm only. Rifle wise, I think 1000ftlbs is my idea of "good enough" for energy. Obviously there's more to it than just energy, but it's objective to start w...

I made a podcast
Hey all, been a little bit. Anyways, I started a podcast where I do guns and movies. One movie per episode, chatting guns and stuff. I think it's fun. I would love harsh critiques. Internet Movie Firearms Podcast https://anchor.fm/movie-firearms-podcast I should be uploading some zombie episodes thi...

Re: Firearms Chat: [2021 - Aw, FFS!]
Anyone use HexMags in their AR ? My two go-to shops started carrying them and I'm considering picking up a few of them, but I have no idea if they're any good or not. I mostly stock Pmags for my AR, but those are kind of a pain to find in my AO at the moment. I can find ProMag and MFT AR mags all d...

Re: Netflix:Outside the Wire
I thought it was a typical Netflix quality movie. They do great with shows, but always struggle with films. It was "fine" to have on while I worked on other stuff. I thought it was cool they used Grand Power pistols though. Kinda matches the geography. Oh, and super cliche and predictable. But again...

I haven't had great luck with RIA, but have had great luck with Turkish guns. I'd go Tisas.

Re: Vehicle get home bag list?
It might be because I'm so busy, but my car kit is so much smaller now that I live in Alaska verses when I lived in Pennsylvania. I have a small kit. For me, absolute minimal basics would be: -tow straps with hookups -ratchet straps and tie downs -flashlight -lighter -knife -jumper cables -duct tape...

Re: What is Your favorite Local Gun Store
My favorite is Arctic Ammo and Reloading in Wasilla, AK. I haven't been to the Wasilla Arctic Ammo... Been to the Anchorage one though. I do know they pissed off a lot of people with gouging back in the day, if it is affiliated. But, other local-ish shops are Eagle River Gun Cache and Alaska Downra...

That's pretty sick though.
I always went with Plano totes and my brother always used roughnecks for our jeeps.
But for a metal locking container, that's slick

3 is my opinion of bare minimum for handguns
5 bare minimum for Semi-Auto rifle
Prefer at least 10 per though, and more is always better

Re: Preps for a Contested Election in November
As far as timeline goes, just got an email from corporate. I guess Alaska is allowed ballots received up to November 13 to count. So that means, at least up here, there will be an extra 10 days of waiting for official results, if it comes to that. Not sure how that will affect behavior, but it's wor...

If it comes down to it, the reason for a defensive firearm is defensive action.
Pick what you're best with because you want every advantage.
