Re: Looking for a molle capable plastic glock holster

Can't seem to find a coyote tan holster, plus they are very expensive on safariland. thanks guys. will keep searching Safariland ALS holsters seem to be about average for quality holsters. If you don't mind my asking, how much do you think a quality holster should cost? 50 dollars for the holster a...

Looking for a molle capable plastic glock holster

Hey guys. I really didn't think this would be so hard to find, however, I am trying to find a holster for my Glock 17. I have a tan vest and I wanted to mount a tan plastic holster to the top front of it. I currently have a condor holster and it SUCKS! I see that blackhawk makes a molle mount for yo...

Re: Ruger 10/22 or MArlin 795?

I have owned both. here are my takes on the pros and cons of both 10/22 pro: great aftermarket support (you can do anything with them) good inexpensive mags of virtually any capacity cons: price becoming more plastic and less quality as time marches on Thick waist Garand style stock (not my thing i...

Re: Ruger 10/22 or MArlin 795?

I'm glad you got a gun. I would take a Marlin now vs a Ruger later. That being said I love my Ruger. I got mine for $220 cash and it came with high visibility sights and an extra BX-25. I also own the Marlin which is a great little honey too. They're both reliable and as accurate as the shooter. If...

Re: MHO on Axe vs Bowie knife

Very true, I just had a amazing experience with a GB's that I feel I am willing to save for one. I think I may go for a TOPS BOB Fieldcraft knife to replace my chopper. Luckily, my kit is very lite. Even my kit with my trapping and hunting supplies is under 50 lbs. Consequently, I can handle heavier...

I wish Glock would make a thinner frame width so us short dudes could conceal it! But nice guns man.

Re: Misconceptions and myths about fire steels.

I keep a butcher knife in my kit that literally gives off lava from a ferro rod. However, last winter I was in the mountains without it and found out quick my coat fixed blade would not give me the sparks needed to light damp wood. I ended up using a rock with a sharp edge, it worked fantastic and s...

Re: Which Gransfors Bruks should I get?

I settled on the small forest axe and have been quite happy. It is (in my mind) the largest axe you can use (well) with one hand and the smallest axe you can use (ok) with two hands. That was the selling point to me, If you see yourself using two hands all the time, by all means go bigger. any smal...

Re: Ruger 10/22 or MArlin 795?

Hey guys I ended up going with the Marlin 795. I purchased it new for $120 and the best price I could find for the 10/22 was ~$250. I like that with the marlin the stock stock can be used to put extra rounds and supplies in it. It shoots just as good as any 10/22 and I found a 25 round magazine from...

Re: Which Gransfors Bruks should I get?

I have one of the GB "Hunter" axes, has the rounded poll to help you skin and animal I think [?], I got it for like $25 at the flea market so had to buy it. Is a quality axe that takes and keeps a good edge. I do consider it rather poorly finished compared to a vintage axe like a Plumb,Collins, Kel...

Which Gransfors Bruks should I get?

Which Gransfors Bruks should I get? I live in the eastern US and I practice quite a bit of Bushcraft. I need a ax to cut down standing dead's and standing lives. Also need to be able to split wood. Was hoping to get one for under 150. Longer the handle the better. I was thinking the small forest ax....

Where I am, .22 is selling for $20 for 100. Sucks. Hopefully it will works its way out. MOST dealers have raised prices and they are keeping their shelves stocked for a little while at least.

They're not empty here! I'm just saying that this will correct itself...external controls such as your desire to "jack up prices" on .22LR until the shelves are full are impossible in practice. Jack up the prices and you'll have the same douche bags operating on a different margin and/or ...

Ruger 10/22 or MArlin 795?

Hmmm quite a good amount of information out there on each of these. However, I am unsure which one to go with. I am on a budget, however I am always inclined to pay more for something I will never feel the need to replace. I do like the accessory options with the Ruger. Mainly the flashlight mounts....

Re: How I get a ton of .22 for normal prices

The people offering .22 for the old pricing points are the real problem man. I've heard some silly stuff on the internet but that certainly makes the Top 5 You clearly have no understanding of supply and demand... I think you're missing his point... And your understanding of anything beyond theoret...

Douche bags are Douche bags. Refuse to pay $70 for a bulk pack of 22 lr and you beat them at there own game. When I have caught 22lr on the shelf recent, I rarely buy my limit. I leave some for the next guy. I have plenty. When a do take the opportunity buy 3 boxes I usually send some out to my fam...

Re: How I get a ton of .22 for normal prices

If suppliers start figuring out who's reselling and stop selling to them, that would cut demand too. Or if the resellers would stop buying it up to resell. OR if people didn't camp out at opening time to buy every box they could. All of those things would decrease demand as well. The people offerin...
