Re: 7 Days to die; the zombie horde survival game
Kinda a steep learning curve on the game for someone who has never played Minecraft and is more used to FPS games. Also the type on the screen is tiny. I have to move extra close to the screen to read everything, and I have a big-screen TV.

Re: Containment on CW
How many episodes are there supposed to be? Hulu has 9, finished them all last night.
...wondering if they're just gonna end the whole thing with a bunch of napalm.

Re: Containment on CW
Because of this thread I just binge-watched the 5 available episodes on Hulu. This definately has my interest more than FTWD, even with no Nick the Junkie character.

I'm behind and trying to avoid your spoilers, but I gotta say, nothing cuts through the tension of being introduced to a new adversary like a rocket-propelled grenade.

Re: John Ringo's Inevitable Zombie Apocalypse
As of 3/15, the short-story collection based in Ringo's zombie world, "Black Tide Rising" is out on Baen's website as an advanced reader copy (ie: someone didn't proof-read so there's still spelling and grammar mistakes). I like Michael Z. Wiliamson's story. Starting on "Battle of the BERTs" (which ...

If zombies get inside the fence, she wins the Father Gabriel "Dumbass, You're Gonna Get Us All Killed" award.
And it amazes me how many times our protagonist family hasn't picked up any weapons laying around, save for the shotgun. They could be two pistols richer by now.

Plus I get the idea that some routes that use surface streets/side streets/don't use the freeway go through areas that may be no-go areas in regular times.

I guess some people think anyone described as Maori should automatically have facial tattoos and a war club stashed somewhere in the house in case of burglars or zombies.

Did anyone notice if Travis & family hung onto the shotgun, or was it Salazar? Props on Madison for saying the Salazars and Ortiz were part of their household when the military asked. Here's a graphic on how to read those symbols the military guy was spraying on the house. http://i241.photobucket.co...

Re: Fear The Walking Dead
I'm hoping the razors show up again, one possibly in the hands of the addict/hustler Nick who was eyeballing 'em and may have palmed it. It wasn't Nick eye-balling the razor, it was Travis' son Chris. Salazar pretty much killed that opportunity though. If the razor is going to show up again, it'll ...

In one scene, Tobias and Madison are pushing a cart full of canned goods. But after the encounter with zombie Art, they're not pushing the cart anymore. I could see the two splitting up the cart's contents and Tobias putting (part of) his share in the backpack, but I didn't see Madison carrying anyt...

I suspect the reasons the "guests" are being kept to the front are: 1- The shop onwer really doesn't want them in there, they aren't welcome. 2- There is something hidden in back/basement. I suspect it's either illegals (sheltering there long term as a refuge) or that there is one or more persons g...

I'm liking some of the little details I see: -pudgy nebbish kid is most aware of what is going on, and is adapting the quickest (just needs to work on his zombie combat skills) -the knowing-worried look exchanged between the dad and the cop getting water at the gas station -Nick the junkie going thr...

Katanas. I don't think the other weapons can deal enough head trauma in a short enough time to deal with zombie hordes. Sais? What am I going to do, poke them in the eyes and jiggle it around, hoping for enough brain damage?

To be fair, I think there was more people putting their trust in the government when "Alas, Babylon" was written than when "One Second After" was written.

Yeah, but just because you live in DC doesn't mean you're getting on base or in a CoG facility if the zombies start getting nibbly.

Any tips on fighting humans in the game? I just got this game Monday and I'm still in the early stages. I'm still on one of the earlier missions, and a trio of guys from a rival gang is in my safe area stealing an airdrop.
