Chocolate is always appropriate :D Why do I just know some diabetic is gonna jump on my ass for saying that I'm diabetic, and I find that offensive! Err... well... no I'm not. And I don't. Just seemed apropos . No matter who came up with the recipe first, this sounds like a fun one to try.

Most of the safes I've seen as you describe would only be useful for, at most, a handgun or two. If that's all you're looking to store, great... until you get a long arm. With any sort of electronic lock you might want to look for a model that has the capacity to power the lock with an external powe...

I just picked up a 10/22 Carbine at Wally World for $189 today. Nice gun...I plan on picking up a Tapco stock for it and a few 30 round clips and then let the fun begin. I bought this rifle (my first - I do own handguns) based on the comments on this board and a few others. Seems to be a reliable a...

Getting soldiers to do police work is like getting police to do soldiering. Neither will do the others job well. Police would attempt to use minimal force and capture an armed combatant. Yeah. Either that, or cordon off the area and call in SWAT ( i.e. regular infantry ). Regular infantry as cops ha...

From some brief googling, as long as your K frame was made after 1956 ( looks like it is ) then you should be fine.

If you have doubts, go to them directly at support@smith-wesson.com

Good job on the revolver... especially since it doesn't have the "safety" feature of a key lock.

bottom edge of the storm here. 3- 5 inches snow so far, but there's rain falling now. Expecting that to freeze overnight; roads around here should look like a skating rink at the least. Probably not much more than that, since the overnight low is just under freezing. Sunday shouldn't be too bad, asi...

Tough poll. I voted 3, but also lean toward 1. As with others, me and mine come first. No question. That said, I also try to maintain good relations with the neighbors. I help them shovel snow, help keep an eye on things, enquire as to their health, etc. . If the SHTF, depending on which S has HTF, ...

I hate winter.....we had some serious black ice problems on our block, and now my mother is layed up because she busted her knee pretty bad while trying to get around to the front of her car. Now it's snowing again, and the father isnt back yet. He's the only one who can get the generator up and ru...

Aw, man! You had me all excited. I was about ready to ask if the place you got it had any more, since I have a bizarre, almost fetishistic love for TT-33s. Then I saw you were in Canada, so even if they had more, I couldn't get one anyway. Congratulations on your new Norinco. I envy you. Check the ...

Sounds cool, is that legally a C&R? If you're a reloader you may be set for quite a while otherwise you will be in the market for another ammo buy. Either way it looks like a pretty sweet deal. According to AIM these are C&R . Of course, AIM is selling the Romanian TT-33 ... perhaps that makes a di...

Considering what comes out of the back end of infants, having one on the nightstand might qualify as a WMD. Check local OSHA and EPA regulations.

All that ice... watch your head!

If you hear a loud groaning noise ( that isn't a zombie  ) move away from trees and overhead power lines to some place you can see the sky.

The last place you want to be is under an ice covered falling branch.

Rus, you're missing the issue. His gun is a defender model. Most defender models (albeit remington, mossberg, winchester) come with the standard 'smoothe bore'. To call it a 'choke' would be a misnomer. A shotgun such as a defender would only be reliable (as far as pattern density is concerned) out...

I am going to have to disagree with you on this one Gunny, the original poster said nothing about hunting, only dealing with varmints and defensive use. As you know I am not a fan of the defensive shotgun, too limited, but for the stated use I believe the gun he has would be fine. I assume the varm...

Nope
If it handles .40S&W ok, I wouldn't expect problems with a .357SIG.

From what I remember reading of this, the concept had some problems. Clearing a round that didn't fire was a problem, as the round would usually break up.

If nothing else, you, me, and the rest of the non-drinkers can stand around and cast judgmental looks of disapproval on those that do. Can't say I've done the judgmental thing; I care that I don't drink, not so much that others do. On the other hand, being able to remember what others did while dri...
