I keep a copy in my car. I find it very comforting to randomly flip through when I'm having a rough day and feel like the odds are aginst me. Kinda puts day to day agrivation into prospective.

speeling getting too abstract, must mean time to sleep.

With our little clan, Responceabilitys run deep. So solo isn't an option for me. Luckily we have been blessed with a close nit group of freakshows FUBARed enough to sit and talk about zombie survival with us without calling the white coats. All of them have used it as a catalist for learning from on...

We keep an emergancy stash for the cats. But they seem to just eat bugs, moths, string and foil all day anyway. If its smaller they chase it. If they catch it they eat it. Great idea for a topic btw. The water /food/bowl mentioned, I read an artical somewhere about bacteria collecting in some vertio...

No matter the actual cause, the media blackout would be enough to get me armed to the teeth. Please keep us up to date, and I agree with Bear_B and bgaesop, don't put youself in danger and stay armed. With your job and contacts it sounds like you can keep an ear to the ground without jepordizing any...

Great story Dresden---Our local Army Navy surplus carries PMJB and some other knock-offs of it.

When did the encounter happen? Also, if your not too busy, check my grammer and spelling please.

Mine's a 2nd floor aprt. with narrow stairs and a heavy door. Entrance has a 4ft hall at a 90 degree angle (eaisily barricaded). Small balcony with a good vantage point of the whole property. Also in the very back of a hoss of a apartment complex that's set up in a "circle the waggons" style archite...

American Gods, yep, me and the misses actually took a trip to Rock City because of that book. Interesting insight about survivers that would become unhinged. Adding to the threat of a collapsed social stucture, the undead, and scavengers/bandits with ill intent. I'm sticking with the puppets, If I g...

I've compiled a list of firearms that you can safely take to school: THERE ARE NONE!!! DON'T TAKE WEAPONS TO SCHOOL!!! USE ONLY WITH ADULT SUPERVISION IN PERMITTED AREAS!!! Noncyr wrote that (yes I still cannot use the quote function, please pelt me with rocks and garbage) weapons + schools = very ...

Maj. Exec mentioned the 86 Blazer. I had an 85 Blazer that the Family used for years for farm work. It wouldn't die. The starter and muffler went out on it after 19 freaking years. I got my other car fixed and sold the Blazer for nothing. The guy I sold it to fixed it up and moded it out. Now I cry ...

I think raptorman hit it on the head. Destruction is an option, but just simply making it impassable has the same results. That was an option I was dealing with with my aprt. when it was pointed out to me that after a tenth of deconstruction to the mammoth thing that i would already have more than e...

I really like the playing card idea. I read a book once where the main character kept his sanity learning coin tricks. Keeping in shape would kill some time and give you some kind of structure to the day. The art of Taekwon-do was focused by General Choi Hong Hi while in prison (Several other Martia...

I heard the Arnie thing to. There was suppost to be a Teaser story board out on the net somewhere. I couln't find it anywhere so that may be just a rumor.----- Still looking for the graphic novel, I may have to break down and order it online if my local comic book shop can't scrounge up a copy.

Kyle's link covered what I was gonna say. But a word of advice, don't be too deceptive. The life-givers often become worried when the offspring begins stokepiling angry pointy things, cuduals, and loboto-tools in a sneeky tip-toed fashion (it's true, I saw it on a National geographic). This cannot m...
