Yeah, this was posted on alt.horror and most people there believed it. Aparently this guy is well-known over there. There's no way this is real, though. I think even a brit who's never seen a gun can tell a paintball gun from the real thing. And that insta-catatonia seems pretty far-fetched too. Not...

Black bear, huh? Sounds harmless enough. Anyway, if I recall this correctly the .45 was issued to troops during the "Island Hopping" operations of WWII. At the time the troops were using... 9mm (Do I remember this right?), which simply proved inefficient in the area of stopping power , a term which...

you have a good point i would take the .44 becuase with that firepower you could make a hole in the crowd and you can put them down even without a head shot. i think the best gun would be a desert eagle but that is just my preference I think somebody's seen too many movies. A magnum is not a howitz...

I've trained with FX Simunitions. It's very intimidation to hang around with real guns in your face. We trained with revolvers but I know that there is simunition for all kinds of arms. To modify a revolver( to take this type of ammo) is to simply insert 6 metal rings in each chamber of the cylinde...

As far as paintball airsoft BBs...I hear nothing but bad things about them. But really, what is the point? Are the people you play with not honest about taking hits? Lack of paint is one of the reasons I much prefer airsoft over paintball. I don't want neon paint all over expensive gear and gunking ...

Simuition or MILES is problably the most realistic training method, but probably too exensive to be practical (and aparently not available to civilians anyway). The only prob is that real guns are far more expensive than their airsoft versions. Airsoft assault rifle or SMG? $2-300 and up for a decen...

I've heard that old Wolf ammo wasn't that great, and that new Wolf is better. I personally have shot quite a few in 9mm, .40, and 9mm Makarov and have had no problems other than the fact that it's fairly dirty. I've had no problems with reliability, kabooms, etc.

For the Mossberg 500, yeah, that's a pretty decent price, especially if the light is good. I dunno about the hi-point, but I've heard some bad things about the brand in general. I don't know if I'd trust any pistol that costs $159.

ID cards may work fine for other countries. The trouble is, without going off on a political tangent, is that this is America. There are WAY too many possible twists and takes for this card to simply be used as ID. Exactly--that's what a lot of people in other countries don't get: that in America, ...

It's really cool. :) You get various weapon and get to shoot zombies while trying to save civilians. They're still dots, but apparently have 3d buildings now. :)

My main problem with it is that it is more and more consolidation of power and authority in the hands of the federal government, rather than the states. Those of you in other countries probably won't understand this, but many Americans are very wary of anything vaguely resembling a national id card....

If you're in some sort of post-apocalyptic situation, then I would think that one of those flashlights that you shake would be good, since they never stop working and don't need batteries. Having a heavy-duty bright flashlight would of course be good too. Just use whichever the situation calls for.

The only major reason I can think of to use slugs is for long distance shots or extra penetration. At close range, I wouldn't think that there's that much difference. Slugs, due to extra penetration, probably do a little more damage, but as others have said, use what the situation calls for. They're...

I only have a Glock, for which, as Kyle says, this is not an issue. I think I'd be more comfortable carrying it non-cocked. If you get used to the double-action first trigger pull, it shouldn't be a big deal. Many people carry it cocked-and-locked, though, with the safety on, so I don't think there'...

I am in San Jose and I never heard that. So law obiding citizens can't have fire arms, but any one of dubious morals can drive an hour south, buy one, and use it for what ever they want. Whoever came up with that idea is an idiot. And they probably will get re-elected. Sorry if that is considered a...

I have nothing against swords, and I didn't mean to imply that they were no longer effective. At close range, they are probably as effective or maybe more so than firearms, depending on the level of training. But to be able to use one well requires much more practice and training than being able to ...
