Re: The All Purpose AK Thread

The magpul zucchini stuff is okay, like the hand guard but could live without the stock. http://i728.photobucket.com/albums/ww290/thrillbilly_guns/Mobile%20Uploads/20150808_190336_zpsclecmi4g.jpg And the Draco is... magnificent. I wouldn't mind owning 5 or 10 of them http://i728.photobucket.com/albu...

Re: Show and Tell thread, Handgun edition

The g43 is alright, the gun itself is excellent but I don't really need a single stack 9, it sure hasn't replaced my g19. My wife likes it so I kept it.

Re: ar15/ak47 pistol for shtf?

I'm partial towards my Draco, it's a very handy gun and 7.62x39 isn't losing any effectiveness in the shorter barrel length It's just about my favorite type of AK So yes, I think a braced AK pistol is very useful (With a kak blade brace, I'd not put an ugly sigbrace on a gun lol) http://i728.photobu...

The hotness I use to secure my AR is the nice corner my dresser and wall creates. The AR leans there quite nicely.

Re: What is your faviorite Defensive Pistol Caliber

It seems whoever made the poll confused the term ''pistol'' with the term ''handgun'' Unless someone makes a .38special or .44special pistol I dont know about. Hell, theres VERY few .357mag or .44mag pistols made....not counting single-shots and mares-legs. 9x19 or .45acp, I have no use for compromi...

You said help you decide on a truck gun, and your poll said ''other''

you didnt say ''pistol only''

I dont carry a loaded rifle either, the ammo is next to it.

My Draco would be the closest I'd come to a truck handgun ;)

''Other''

rifle

pistols are for the waistband, to get you to the vehicle and the real gun.

A bit of flip 'cause it's polymer but not bad at all. :)

that teacup grip has WAY more to do with the incredibly slow ''double tap'' then the frame material does.

Re: The Pistol Challenge - Demand more from yourself!

Very seldom do I shoot slow, aimed fire under 10 yards. At that distance I practice point shooting and my draw presentation. I practice slow aimed fire at 25, 50, 75, 100 yards. But I have zeroed my carry guns a long time ago, and I know where they shoot at close range (in case I need to blow a snak...

Re: What issues to look for in AK47 O-PAP M70 model?

main issues are weight and non-standard parts.

I like my m70B1 a lot because its stupid accurate for an AK, but if I knew then what I know now, I would have went with standard AKM instead.

my build runs fine with everything so far (steel Tula, federal MSR, zqi 62gr nato, and a couple others im forgetting)....shoots, ejects, locks open just fine. My question is, it doesnt seem to eject brass stoutly....I get a pile about 5' or less away from me, at 2oclock mostly...but a few will go 1o...

I would get whole rifle done in matte black....then use spraypaint to match it to changing terrain/seasons.

And I don't even like AR stock on ARs (if you mean 6pos stocks) lol

Lever rifle.

Step up to a 30/30 and call it a day. And you dont ''shoot them all out'' you shoot, and in lulls stick more in, same as running a 12G pump.

Thats just assuming you cant have semiautos. I'd take my AK any day over my lever guns and pumps.

I prefer a compound to a xbow...but thats just me. As for groundhogs....I kill em all, on sight, wherever I am, with anything I have. Same for armadillos. This is 2014 not 1402...if someone pulls a 10,000$ sword and tries to use their 30 years of training on me in a hostile fashion, my ignorant country ass is gonna shoot 'em.
