tallahassee police sidearm?
any floridians out there know what the tallahassee police department carries as a sidearm? wife may be relocated there for work, and the PD website was lacking in what i wanted to know.

ive got a transformer. i wore it a good bit, and found the two removable packs tended to pop off regularly when it was loaded up pretty good. i put some cable ties through the loops to secure the bigger of the two on the pack "permanently", and keep the little one in my truck as a "stuff" holder. al...

I have a Ruger p345, and it's been 100% so far after several hundred rounds through it. The DA trigger pull is 'challenging', but the SA pull is quite nice...after a great deal of practice I can finally hit things with it too. :P i too have a p345. i like it. i shot an older bulky ruger a few years...

ohio has a 20 hour, two day class. you dont shoot until your second day. then its eight hours of shooting, and about 250 rounds. or, if you had an honorable discharge from any branch of the US military, you can just turn in a copy of your DD-214 with your app, and presto chango, you have a CCP. i ha...

gunny- ive been off the site for a while lately, pretty much since posting about my ruger. i logged tonight to see if anyone had posted that they were the proud owners of the XD .45. lo and behold. there is a certain brand of reliable, super good pistol that i didnt personally like (even though it i...

I would suggest that the right person to ask about martial arts weapons would be the instructor for the extensive martial arts training you should be taking if you're planning on using martial arts weapons. that would be me. and even as an instructor for Sai, i STILL would NOT take them with me whe...

So how does it turn off once it hits someone? Is the battery and eletonics going to be able to survive going down a shotgun barrel i saw this on the history/discovery channel about two weeks ago. it has an internal circuit that detects (didnt go into detail) when the suspect hits the ground, and sh...

It seems every time Methos finds a good knife someone's got something bad to say about it. That's a fine find there Methos. You can never have too many little knives like that in your kit. I have three cheapo folders and pocket knives tucked into various pouches ontop of my three larger knives. ive...

the sai isnt a bashy-type weapon. they take too long to learn to use effectively. they are also HEAVY and dont function as another tool, other than ludacrus tent stake, so dont waste your time with them. get a baseball bat or three. and yes, there is still a blacksmith in okinawa who has a rather la...

I've heard that in order to get the digicam (see link) BDU's you have to be enlisted to get the actual ones made. Any particular misgivings about the Tru-Specs before I throw $100 at them? you can get the current ACU stuff from Ranger Joe's, and the 5.11 digital pattern. its fruitin' expensive. the...

Everybody should have a 3 or 4 inch barrel .357 Magnum revolver from Smith and Wesson, Colt, or Ruger. Then get an XD. You're set for life. Then repeat as desired... It was a typo that I did not catch. Thanks for finding the error, folks. The Mosin Nagant rifles are chambered in 7.62x54, sometimes called 7.62x54R. . i hate to point out another typo, but 7.62x54 and 7.62x54R are two different types of ammo. go to www.theammunitionstore.com and check it out. they...
