Re: The Coming Civil War - (Warning: No Politics)

I'm sorry. I just don't believe there is a proliferation of Nazi groups in the U S. I find the whole idea to be some kind of scare propaganda to draw attention away from groups who are the real threat to our country. I mean really... How many people have you met in your life sympathetic to Nazis ? C...

Pistol. More easy to maneuver in tight spaces, Better retention if in a hand to hand scuffle. Adequate ballistics with less chance of overpenetration. Only option for concealment when checking on a possible threat, without old man Smithers (your next door neighbor) going to the ER after he knocked o...

Re: Bushwick - SHTF/Civil War II Movie

Just re watched this morning. In the context of events and political news now two years later. The story is a lot more believable Which part? The part where the South builds a huge militia army and decides to kick things off with a secret invasion of NYC that no one knows about resourced with helic...

In a SHTF situation I'm thinking most dogs will be fending for themselves, eating scraps and being eaten by humans.

Re: Using right angle flashlight with handgun

Yea don't mean mounted lights. Here's my thought process. I have several headlamps that are right angle beam. I've played around using one as a light while shooting a pistol in the dark. But never really found a grip of the flashlight/pistol that A.not interfere with the operation or grip of the fir...

Using right angle flashlight with handgun

Anybody have a source for how to utilize a right angle flashlight with a handgun ( preferably with pictures ). How does the military teach it?

Re: Tactical bags that don't look like tactical bags?

Sorry guys. I work and hang out with cowboys and farmers. It's popular in Manhattan cause guys around here wear it while gathering cattle on horseback , four wheeler or baling hay . My tactical bag was a yellow tag special from Goodwill . Picked from about a dozen cause the name stenciled on it made...

Flybynight. Blending. You totally get it. In a world where everyone is trying their best to get noticed, I don't pay that much attention to 'grey man' talk. It's not that hard. The last 2 weeks I have been driving on the interstates in VA, 95, 64, 81... the decals people have on their vehicles can ...

Moab, apologies for the delay. I was in STA at the same time but on the East Coast. (Unus Supra; More privately if you desire). School seats for 1st & 2d MARDIV and Quantico, and ARS, were difficult and good platoons provided much of the same training in house. Visited some of the same places throu...

Re: This Earthquake Safety Helmet Folds Flat Until You Need It

Not the best looking helmet but I'm curious about its sturdiness. I'm partly tempted to buy one (assuming it's an actual production item and not some prototype that'll never be made) and just whack the crap out of it. Wouldn't you shake it? I meant to test it's total effectiveness? It's a earthquak...

Re: Mass Blackouts in California

For instance my house in town is elevated and the lowest sewer cleanout is near the street. My plan to deal with this is to simply remove the cover and allow the sewerage to drain there if there is a lift pump failure and problem. That was certainly the solution in Iraq. That and Cholera. Yep. But ...

Re: The Coming Civil War - (Warning: No Politics)

Interesting terminology clarification. One key point. In a civil war or any war for that matter. Anyone in a conflict zone regardless of wehether or not they are a civilian, survivaliat or partizan can be a target. The fact that you do not consider yourself a part of the conflict is irrelevant. Jus...

Re: Mass Blackouts in California

@Raptor My concern is the city sewage system backing up into the house.. It won't - I check w/ the sanitation Dept, but in many areas, if the lift station goes off-line, sewage floods follow. I can live in my van if needed (VW EUrovan camper) but many are stuck as most hotel were in the evacuation ...
