Hey what do you know. I donated a small part to the Academy sports institute for orphan firearms.
My ole uncle Sam quickly showed his approval.

Re: The Coming Civil War - (Warning: No Politics)
I have a malignant fear we have crossed the point of no return. Based on not just a ineffective police response to violent criminal conduct . But a announced and televised refusal to even attempt to stop or apprehend the criminals perpetuating attacks on honest shopkeepers stores and livelihood and ...

Ping pong to little larger than golf ball last night. Spent nearly the entire time stuck in my metal barn after running out of the house to get a vehicle into the barn before it was damaged, There were animals lying all over the yard ( mostly birds)when I was able to get back to the house. But they ...

Ok... I found it. The perfect Covid theme song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMG-Mi9I0-k It like it was straight up prophecy  Lonely feeling deep inside Find a corner where I can hide Silent footsteps crowding me Sudden darkness but I can see No sugar tonight in my coffee No sugar tonight in...

With the proliferation of mask requirements, either at the civil or business level, I've been looking into one (or several), rather than continuing to expend my dwindling stock of disposable N95 masks. I have a bandana (too large, and uncomfortable material), a shemagh (way too large, and kinda unc...

Re: "Daily COVID-19 SITREP In Your Area"
This is all being painted as a false, binary choice. This is the part that really seems odd to me. On another website I frequent (though I have to studiously ignore the politics there, because you get dogpiled if you don't tow a particular line), people seem to think that "re-opening the economy" m...

Re: "Daily COVID-19 SITREP In Your Area"
There are restaurants with dine-in open here, but by and large people are still avoiding them. I suspect curbside pickup at even traditionally dine-in only restaurants is here to stay. There's a lot of screaming in the news about "opening up" and a lot of derogatory comments about living huddled in...

Re: "Daily COVID-19 SITREP In Your Area"
My FIL in Ohio said a local place is selling whole hogs for $120. You have to pick up, kill, butcher, and store. But if I was in Ohio I'd be all over that like white on rice. My wife was mentioning the better plan would probably be to kill, roast, THEN process/freeze the meat. She has a good head l...

Re: "Daily COVID-19 SITREP In Your Area"
Went to Walmart for the first time since early March today. The associates were complaining that the $19 ten pound roll of hamburger that had recently risen to $25 was now as of today, $42. All the associates were wearing masks and maybe half the store customers. I had no mask. The media has made m...

Was looking for another thread and saw this one. Seems like a long time ago we discussed when to bunker up. March 16 we bunkered up. Was called back to work on the 4th of May. Strange times indeed.

Re: Why do some countries have very few COVID-19 serious illnesses and deaths??
The threat of death has never been my biggest fear. If you die it's over and your worries are also over. The much bigger fear is getting sick and spending 1-3 weeks in ICU with the resulting crushing six figure debt that will have to be paid

Re: "Daily COVID-19 SITREP In Your Area"
Everything normal at the grocery store for the first time since early March. Lots of meat, bread, TP, no limits on anything. No sales though, except they were giving away a tiny tub of PB with a $10 purchase and water was back to the normal 2 cases for $5. Prices were normal pre-cv19 prices. One co...

Who knew that Seagulls were Apex Predators? That is a bad ass video. https://www.foxnews.com/science/rome-seagulls-hunt-rats-pigeons Funny the story mentions seagulls in Aberdeen Scotland.
