Re: The Dead at Destitute Mountain

This story has been going for nearly five years now. Maybe the author just doesn’t know how to finish it? it just doesn’t seem to be going anywhere - seems to just be ambling along. Thoughts anyone?

Re: The Dead at Destitute Mountain

Wow, I'd actually forgotten all about this story it had been so long since there was an update and I've been following this since it began. I can't believe I was lucky enough to catch 3 updates! Thanks TB - still the best written zombie story online. You still manage to get us interested and ...

Re: Cooper; new stuff added 12/26

I'm really enjoying this story. It's kind of nice to see people grappling with the post-apocalypse without having to worry about undead corpses rushing at them every which way. One thing that most post apocalypse stories have in common is the lack of stuf and the competition for it. It makes no sens...

Another heart-pounding chapter! Wow, TB it's amazing how you manage to keep this story fresh and incredibly interesting. I literally can't wait for the next installment.

Thank you for all your time and trouble in writing this and letting us read it.

Re: Mom's Journal of the Zombie Years

It would certainly make a great TV series. I think we can give up hope this will ever be finished. The writer seems to have lost momentum and I doubt it will ever be revived. What a pity it was never brought to a conclusion. Still, it was a great read while it lasted.

Re: The Dead at Destitute Mountain

Thanks so much TB, awesome double chapter. I eked it out for two days, Ok, I don't think Katrina should torture Evan. The whole point of Michael dying for them was to prove there is still some humanity left. If she has to kill him to escape - fine, but I don' agree with making him die slowly w...

OMG, TB what a pickle you've left Katrina in!

Now tell me again why you're not out in Hollywood writing screenplays for decent movies instead of that crap they put out? :clownshoes:

Great update, thanks so much. Can't wait for the next one.

Wonderful update, TB as always. I so appreciate how well written this story is.

Just wondering if you know what the name of your town means in Norwegian? It's hospital, was that deliberate?

Re: The Dead at Destitute Mountain

Thanks TB, really great updates and so nice of you to resolve the cliffhanger right away! :clownshoes: So it looks like Mundy has finally found a safe place to deposit Hyacinth. They can't possibly keep them out of the inner fort after he brought back a truck full of food and killed off the bad guys...

Oh please, please, please don't let the building burn down with all that food! And please let the truck have some gas in it so they can transport it. I also sure hope the guys back at the camp are decent people and won't try to take the truck and kick out Mundy, Miles and the girls. Thanks TB...

Re: The Dead at Destitute Mountain

Oh wow, what a great update. Can't wait for the next one to see what happens! You manage to keep this story fresh and interesting TB even after the demise of Michael and Goodnight House. I think I've counted 62 chapters so far (I count each post as a chapter). Also saving this as a word doc to read ...

Re: The Dead at Destitute Mountain

Ok guys, I now have to seriously revise my idea of Mundy. I'd forgotten that description from way back - but that's the problem with reading WIP's - it takes so long you sometimes forget what went before. I have to say I pictured Mundy as looking just like Dale from the Walking Dead: kind of chubby ...

Re: The Dead at Destitute Mountain

I've been away for a while and just had the privilege of reading three chapters in a row. Great work as usual TB - you are one great writer. You should publish this - it's better than a lot of books I've read. Your new characters are already compelling and interesting and have depth. I thought our g...

Great story - I read I all at one go and now I'm hooked hanging on an update! the prison is a great place to hide from the undead. Just wondering if the outer walls are chain link fences or stone? I'm always surprised at how open places in America are. Nothing is fenced as opposed to Europe w...

Re: High Ground: House of Adair - the story continues

I love your character James. He seems to be a born diplomat and leader but he also seems...well, nice! Sad that he had to kill the bad guy but, at least, he can console himself that he was really bad , wasn't he? I love it that they actually have a place that is fortified and where they can g...

Thanks TB, that was very good. I love short stories! Of course, if by any chance you want to continue, I won't be averse to reading a sequel or, indeed, anything else you care to write. It's also such a pleasure to read something that has correct spelling, punctuation and grammar! You're very talent...

Re: The Unwelcome Sign

How did you manage to read 120,000 words into a story with a protagonist that you can't stand? ;) Well, I said I didn't like him - it was gradual, I was sympathetic at the beginning but I feel he's going downhill. I do feel he could very easily turn into a dictator because he feels he's the only on...

Re: The Unwelcome Sign

I'm going to be blunt here: I don''t really like your character, I think he has the makings of a first class dictator. His "teaching" attitude to people is profoundly irritating (to me anyway). I think he is condescending and patronising. Killing an unarmed woman who was not directly threatening him...
