Re: Rising Tensions in the Persian Gulf

Just repeating some folks I listen to, but I wonder if the Sauds will send their own air strikes and allow Israel to strike Iran too. It makes the most sense to me.

I imagine Texas and the Dakotas will be spinning up. I imagine that will help the US economy. Probably help Iran too.

That creeps me out so much.

1) I'm never donating my body to science. And I won't have to because...

2) I'm never going to die. That stuff just creeps me out.

It was a mistake for China to open the door. It's going to take a while to close it.
I'd say the "mistake" was choosing to be assholes. There is a price to pay. One pays it sooner or later. Tiananmen Square was just a delay.

Just MHO.

Re: Have you had to draw your concealed carry, and why?

Well, if we are talking about house/appt experiences too..... I came home from Christmas one year and the door of my apartment was ajar. I drew my CCW, grabbed my light, and cleared the place. Later I decided that was dumb and resolved to call the cops next time. About a year later, as I'm coming ho...

Saw this as a ad before a youtube video

Am I the only one cringing seeing steel being shot at what seems like too close range?
I would suspect they are shooting frangible ammo. It turns to powder when it hits steel.

Re: Tactical bags that don't look like tactical bags?

For $50, I have found some good gear at Goodwill type places (I think my local place is St. Vincent?). But one is completely dependent on the donations of others. I waited 4 years to find a good pack for $40. I think a local Prepper donated a bunch of stuff that day. So, do you have time to shop aro...

Someone else's story, but I was told of an romantic rendevous with someone met over the internet and it turned out to be an assault and robbery. Or attempted. A weapon presented led to an end to the romantic entanglement. I have given someone on the side of the road a ride with a pistol under my leg...

Maybe my standards are too low, but I'm impressed they used the words ".223," "9mm," and ".22" correctly in a sentence. I see progress. I don't think they could have managed that much 10 years ago. And let's face it: if you want to reduce shooting fatalities, we need to make sure thugs continue to h...

Well, so much for picking up a reasonably priced box of 9mm and not paying range prices for crappy reloads when taking a side trip to the range. I was thinking there are a lot of 5.56 and 7.62x39 pistols out there. Also, is .22 LR or .22 WMR a pistol or rifle round? What about .410? Or 7.62x51 pistols? And there are already 30-06 single shot pistols in use for decades.

It is their right to sell or not sell as they see fit.

Their loss is the LGS's gain.
I do like the LGS and the online retailers. Walmart was nice. I wonder how they will define "handgun ammo?"
