Re: So, you want to buy some body armor but haven't a clue?

I think a serious question needs to be "what is your weight limit?" Do you want to strap on 20lbs of steel? And will stop most rifle bullets? Do you want to strap on 3lbs of Kevlar but it will only stop most pistol bullets and shotgun threats? Do you want to strap on maybe 6 lbs of rifle armor but ...

Re: Preps for a Contested Election in November

I don't think RBGs death will have much effect. I think things which will happen were planned well before now. People might use her death as a "cause Du Jure" but the groups doing the things have been planning and recruiting for a while. Nothing is secret. They are being pretty open because they are...

Re: So, you want to buy some body armor but haven't a clue?

I agree, though I also think fragmentation is something to consider too. A lvl II vest might be a fantastic investment. In some sort of Feral/bartering after the festivities world it could also help ensure you come home from buying milk and eggs. For those interested, Hesco is who I would look at fo...

Re: What WILL/DID you do with that stimulus check? (Round 2)

So, it looks like a second round of checks may be distributed. What plans do you have for yours? Assuming I get one, probably buy a suppressor. My ears have taken a beating and I don't want the same for my children or wife. I really wish my budget would stretch to a suppressor. :\ Depending on what...

Re: All purpose "Help me build my AR" thread.

Found out I can't get my head down enough to see through the red dot with my full face respirator on. I'd like to patch this issue with a rail or mlok mounted laser. Is anyone aware of a really small laser-only package other than the LaserMax Uni-Max? Aren't there lots of pistol lasers? Do you thin...

Re: North Korea Saber Rattling

I've seen a news (propaganda?) video saying North Korea is starting to distance from China and warm up to the US. I have also noticed over the last year a few videos which seem to be aimed at humanizing the North Koreans. The number is still small but seems to be increasing. There are less than 5 I ...

Re: What if Google went down for a week or two

We worry about the .gov reading our correspondence but these organizations have both access and the ability to scan all comms going in and out of their email servers. this provides them with a unprecidented level of access to insider business information. Back when I was in the oil industry we were...

Re: Zombie Squad: Tiny House edition?

Our thought is something in the range of 24x8 ft. We are thinking of putting together a steel frame (hiring out build) on the trailer. We are thinking of doing steel siding and a steel roof. what are you going to pull this with..............a semi? Good question. The idea here is not to do bullet p...

Re: Zombie Squad: Tiny House edition?

My wife and I are planning on building a tiny house. Something on a trailer and able to be moved. I'm interested in any advice ZS has to offer, and I might need to transition some of my questions to a tiny house forum, but I want to start here. I had some comments, but really they all boiled down t...

Re: Does everyone's kit match in your household?

I'm not saying "emulate WG" in this answer, I'm just saying "I'm honestly answering your question." My wife and I do NOT have matching bags. It would be cool of we did, but the issues you described also reflect our reality. At this point we have a car bag which has some basics for 24-36 hours. Then ...

Normally we ask people what brought them here, but in your case.....I guess I'll just ask for pics of the smoke and first hand accounts of what y'all are experiencing?

Re: SLPD shooting

I don't expect this one to blow up, for the cultural reason you mentioned, because no one died, and because of a political factor mentioned in the article. I'm sure the officer who shot the boy feels terrible, and it will be interesting to see what the investigation says. The police deal with people...

Plan for hard feelings and violence regardless of the outcome.
This, I think, is critical. The post Civil War time was rough, and left scars on the people (particularly the losers) which lasted over 100 years. Many argue the scars are still here.

Re: Firearms CHAT: [insert chat title here]

Ok, so I need a bit of advice on a potential trade. I'm browsing Armslist and there's a local that has a Savage Axis in .223 Remington up for sale for 350 bucks, but he's willing to trade if the offer interests him. I'm considering offering up my P89, which is about the only gun I've got now that I...

Re: The Coming Civil War - (Warning: No Politics)

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aBNr1mox9cA This is not a very political video, and is only about 53 seconds long, but I really liked hearing what this guy had to say about defending his neighborhood. Which at quick glance looked like a trailer park. And I think he was wearing laser glasses. So it was...

I think my concealed carry game has got pretty good. Today I found out I was carrying 2 guns when I thought I was carrying 1. If you don't know you have it how are you gonna draw it when needed? Militia members face gun charges, alleged to have come to Kenosha 'to pick people off'

Rules and laws apply differently for different groups.

"Rules for you don't apply to me." Or "rules for thee but not for me."
