Re: What skills do you have to barter with?

Hmmmm....well... I have basic first aid experience (6+ years as a home health aide) CPR basic knowledge Modest Firearms knowledge (I should be able to teach someone how to reliably and safely handle a gun) I know basic Security Procedures and have at least minimal experience I can cook and/or grill ...

Re: Bank Failures - 2010

QE2 is going to eat American's for breakfast. I may be lucky to have a job since I'm in Private Security, but then again, I may not. At some point, this whole house of cards is going to come crashing down. This is why I'm planning on moving to New Hampshire and joining The Free State Project (apolog...

Holy katz! Thanks for the heads up.

You won't be disspointed, it's a great pack tent.

Yea, it definitely seems to be a good lightweight tent.

Re: Eureka Solitaire Tent (Picture Intensive)

According to the Eureka website, the Solitaire is only about $90 which is rather reasonable for a decent 1-man lightweight tent. Will definitely have to get one of these when I can as I still don't have a good shelter.

Re: Possible €uro-Zone Market Crash coming?

If you can, try and get your money out of the big commercial banks and go with a local bank. Also, it might be worth trying to see if you can exchange your Federal Reserve Notes for US Notes. While the latter is still Fiat Money (and ultimately worthless) it MIGHT not get devalued like the FRNs sinc...

If you can find one sold in the US, I would recommend a surplus Swedish Army Trangia Stove. Its easy to use and easy to carry (nice and compact).

Same here. Plus cooking over an open fire is far more time consuming as well as being none too concealing.

I'm guessing otitis media since it had a nasty discharge that came out a few times a week when cleaning. Usually in a huge hunk of sickly greenish ear wax.

Re: How do you kill an ear infection...in the PAW?

I had an ear infection earlier this year for the first time in I don't know when. It kicked my ass to put it mildly. I cleaned out my ear every day with hydrogen peroxide, swimmer's ear solution etc and it kept up for well over a month and a half. The worst was the painful ear ache that was debilita...

Just one more tick in the long list of Police-State intrusions into our life. This is sick and its unconscionable that anyone would defend it. I'm with Penn & Teller, the FCC should be disbanded....immediately. My question is why this isn't plastered all over the news media? Oh thats right, they...

Just one related note, there are now 25 states that have begun the process of reasserting the 10th Amendment. I wonder if Eric Holder factored that?

Saw it last week and thought it was pretty good. I thought the idiot cop that forced everyone to come stay in the lobby area (instead of barricading themselves inside their rooms) was spot on realistic (and this is not meant as a crack against all police/sherrifs). He simply was part of the problem ...

Bad news. I have to MOVE to Georgia in November! I'm having to quit my $13 an hour job to go back to Atlanta, a city I have not lived in for almost 25 years. I can't make the camp n' shoot as that is one the last weekends I can work, so I gotta save my pennies. However, as I already promised to go, ...

Nah... Just start up a soap making company. Then a club where people beat each other up. Then, make them shave their heads and do some typical vandalism. Then, start making derivatives of soap and reshape the city landscape, destroying key records. Might work. ;-] His name was Robert Paulson... ::s...

I would just like to note that the man was not barred from owning firearms...just not to own anymore. Basically, some arbitrary number for 'permitting purposes'. I hope the NRA chews that police department and state a new one.

Just once, I'd like to see a big budget movie set in the Dark Ages that actually tried to LOOK like the Dark Ages and not some pseudo-High Medieval drek that passes for modern 'fantasy' interpretations of the era.

Great review as I was planning on getting the breakfasts to tryout. I tried the MH beef stew last week and noticed that it too was salty and benefitted greatly from a good swish of Louisiana hot sauce.
