Re: Fiber Fix for a field expediant cast?

My only concern would be shrinking as it sets.... it looks just like casting material YMMV but I can get real casting material at the farm and feed store in any color. just like curlex about the same price as well.

Re: "Walking Dead" Cable Series

Personally..... I thought it was an amazing episode one of the best yet. If you know PTSD it should resonate deeply. much kudos to the makers of this episode. It honestly disheartens me that people have become so inured with ADD entertainment that it has to all be rockem, sockem, killem, and fuckem ...

My $.02 open your mind to being creative before opening your wallet for Gucci gear. For instance: 4 truck inner-tubes a sheet of plywood 550 cord something to make holes in wood Most of those materials are multi-use easy to source and fairly cheap A improvised raft for a low probability event.

Re: Kawasaki KLR650 & AK47 across the Arab world. Documentar

I own a 1994 KLR and have modded it a fair bit. My recommendation is DO NOT do the extended gas tank in any of its variations I have the 7 gallon one and it makes it almost impossible to ride off road when full adding an additional 20 lbs of sloshing weight sucks. How tall are you I am 5'8" and had ...

Neat video but good luck finding ffff in regular times not a chance in the paw its not like you can run ff through the coffee grinder unless you love high drama. Black powder is a beast all its own...and the grind really does matter..... if I were doing experimentation it would be in my gp 100 not m...

if it gets that bad and not better when your watch craps out 10 years into it: Time of day won't @#$% matter that much because most wont have watches so dawn sunset and noon are as good as you need. It is a miracle you are still alive and I doubt your watch will have had much to do with that mojo. ....

Re: 1990 GMC Sierra starting problems

the battery cables can get corroded inside the plastic insulation that covers them they should be changed out every 8-10 years or so. I would do that based on principle and it's relativity cheap. that would be my starting place if it were mine.

Some good reading from the experts for those with questions. It is even dumbed down to a Congressional level of understanding. http://commdocs.house.gov/committees/security/has204000.000/has204000_0.HTM http://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/library/congress/2004_r/04-07-22emp.pdf http://www.gpo.gov/fdsy...

Re: EMP "Safer" motorcycle for bug out

You need one with points and a condenser and the condenser will still get fried so you need a spare, you can keep a spare electronic ignition module in a earth grounded metal container like an ammo can. I think it is prudent to have a "critical electronics" box with spare ignition modules and such f...

Just because I've always wanted to see it done, I've got to throw an old hat in the ring: 45-70 or 45-110/120. Because there's something incredibly sexy about an integrally suppressed 45-110 lever action going "PUFF, click click, PUFF" as it throws 500+ grains of lead downrange vewwwy, vewwy quietl...

owned a Glock 19 for 21 years and the one thing that they hate is "limp wristing"

My guess is that particular ammo and the glock are even more susceptible to it as a combination.

One strong reinforcement from this episode is: Don't rely on others to handle your business.

There are only two basic types of people:
ones that desire to control others and, those that do not.

If you do not control you and yours... you will be controlled by others.

Re: Press therapy - reloading room *chat*

Did you switch to the correct shell holder? I had to check my chart, but you should be using number 2 for .308 Win. and .45 ACP and number 19 for 9mm Luger. Like, the depriming die is universal, if it's the one I'm thinking of, but the shell holders are specific to a range of calibers based on comm...
