Re: DPX HEFT 4... Better than ESEE

I wonder why the HEFT 4 can't just be a great knife on its own and why it has to be "better than" anything else specifically?

"Best" and "better than" are subjective terms, in any case, and don't really mean anything at the end of the day as pertains to knives and other such tools.

Check out these lower-priced options from Camillus: http://www.amazon.com/Camillus-Carbonitride-Titanium-Bamboo-Handle/dp/B002DT0OTS/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1372353762&sr=8-5&keywords=camillus Interesting, although at 8" or 10", bigger than I want in a neck knife. Re: The ZS collaborative Fixed Blade Recommendation Thread

SO many options for a fixed-blade general bushcraft knife. One that I rarely see recommended that I have a fondness for is the Knives of Alaska Bush Camp in D2. Great blade in a similar price range to the Beckers. Seriously though, the ESEEs, Beckers, Ontarios (mostly...some occassional HT issues) w...

Re: A pair o blades!

Awesome to get the backstory on the two blades that actually lead me to contacting Storm Crow for my own custom work. Mightor and Little Rok look like an awesome pair, and just the other night I was thinking about piggyback options. Beautiful, tough working knives...love it. And yes, I remember when...

Re: The ZS collaborative Fixed Blade Recommendation Thread

Ontario is one of my favorite manufacturers. While fit and finish (and warranty) may not be equal to ESEE, that does not mean their knives are not working knives. Good materials, solid pricing, solid customer support, and a variety of intriguing designs. I really like the Ranger Bush Series knives d...
