Re: Great article-how cooking made us human

For starters, it seems like it might be a good idea to chop up a bar into a looser mixture.

Similarly, this gives a great reason to mix your food with water, above and beyond the bars tending to be dry.

Great article-how cooking made us human

http://www.pri.org/science/cooked-food-evolution1455.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; There is a really neat piece from the radio program "The World" in which food's relationship to us as humans is discussed. Most relevant to us here is a discussion of how cooking changed the game...

You know, it is certifiably cruel to say things like that to someone who is broke and whose car is in the shop.

Well, the severe thrunderstorms and flash floods that are incapacitating large parts of town probably could also count for that, just a little less showy. :)

Re: catfish recipes

Fry them with a little bacon grease. I like the breading a little thinner, so I just dip 'em in egg and then corn meal/spices. I think my folks use a bit of flour or corn starch.

As long as you have a plan for the prisoners :?

Personally, I sort of want to avoid anything that could be construed as a fortress from a roadmap.

Re: Self Defense/MMA Classes in Pittsburgh

Well, if you want to make your living at it...I guess all I can say is that $5 classes at a community center aren't the place to start. If you want to be a 99th percentile unarmed combatant, then that is definitely achievable. Give it a go, take some classes. You will definitely learn a lot. I am 25...

Wasn't there a price cdheck thread?

Sorry to clutter, but... $239 for a new Mossberg 500 Field 12 ga., wood finish, drilled for scope. This feels like a good deal. I'd be perfectly happy with a used gun, but I don't know the market well enough to know where to find one of those. I'd also probably want to keep things simple and not mes...

Re: Self Defense/MMA Classes in Pittsburgh

I had a great time! Turns out that I'm a bit natural at grappling defense. I've got a big thumbprint-sized subdermal abrasion on my neck from where the instructor had me in a guillotine hold. Wrestling is actually really a lot more exhilarating than I had imagined. See ya next week!

Re: Fallout 3

Glad to hear that it got tougher. Bethesda has a nasty habit of making their games too easy, should your character get good at a few combat skills.

Then again, having an agility of 7 and a luck of 9 with all of the crit-boosting specials and a damn high small weapons helped more than a bit.

Re: The Perfect Fortress

Well, yeah, that's about the idea. And you would definitely want a big, interstate-like bridge for this project. Biggest difference between the underbridge and the town from Fallout 3 is the camouflage will protect better than an old guy with a gun--a bit more like Girdershade, what with striving to...
