WTS: Aimpoint & GGG mount

Decided that I shoot better with Eotech & Acog's... Prefer to keep it a package deal, will split it if needed. Lightly used Aimpoint CompM3 2 MOA. Only real signs of use is the ring mark and some small scratches on the covers. Battery is good, the unit has been stored off. The GGG mount shows light ...

Re: Huntin' for Dino's

Raptor hunting FTW!!!

My AR (XCR when it finally comes out in it) in 6.5 with 25 rd mags. Plenty of power to kill them and plenty of rounds in the event that there is a good sized group and they run at gun fir and not away from it

Re: What would you reccomend?

I'm looking for a rifle, that is kinda a 'do all rifle'. Something that I can: Hunt with, Defend with, that is pretty reliable, pretty durable, and pretty accurate. Thanks, J. NP, J... I know a lot of people like these threads. 90% of the people here are gonna say "GET AN AR!" But for what you are ...

Re: Maxpedition Question

Thanks, I'll shoot him a pm.

I believe you are right on the Malaga & Lunada. I like that about them, they are just a bit small for my needs.

Left shoulder sling is more natural feeling for me but the way the pack rides I think it could be an issue with carry.

Re: (Dumb) Busse Combat Question

Swamp Rat, Busse and Scrap Yard are all connected but different companies. They only do a run of knives at a shot and then they are done with them unless they do a special run down the line. Whatever is on the site for sale is what your choices are. If you want something they had made prepare to pay...

Maxpedition Question

Does/Did Maxpedition make a Gearslinger laid out like the Kodiak but as a Right shoulder sling? I don't like the setup of the Monsoon and the others are all to small.

Does anyone else make anything similar?

2007 F350 King Ranch w/ no problems. Sister has a focus that has been great, much better than her Toyota Corella (sp?) My mom had a ranger in the mid 90's that went 350,000 miles before she got rid of it. Had a few small issues at around 250-300k. She has a 2008 F150 now that is great other than a p...

Only way I'm leaving FL is if I'm moving closer to the Equator... Almost did once. Firearm laws and family are about the only two things holding me back.

Re: Group Story Write - "3 Days After"

The way I read it was they where heading for Bellingham. Only Bellingham that is an Island I know of is in WA.

I'll see about working on the story a bit. It'll probably be short as the Bambi-Pat dynamic is at a key developmental point and I'm not really able to play that out.

Re: Looking for a firearm for my son...

Thanks for the info Merovech...now, for one question, BESIDES an AR-15, what could be something that could be used also in the EOTWAWKI? Besides a shotgun...nothing against them but my son dislikes them... If you did not go with the AR then I would probably get the 357 lever gun first because you a...

Re: Looking for a firearm for my son...

Yes, it is a handgun lailr, I am thinking heavily on an AR, but am worried at the price of ammo, considering I will be shelling out the money to be able to shoot it. And to XD, mil spec means that it'd shoot military rounds I am assuming? And to AmirMortal, I'm sure I will have a question for you s...

Something no one seems to carry

It seems like everyone else has been doing the "So i've noticed that no once carries..." threads, so I figured i'd ride the wave while it was breakin. I have seen hundreds of pictures of BOBs, GHBs, ETCs and have maybe seen two or three that have carried one of these. Gloves I'm not talking gloves a...

Re: Looking for a firearm for my son...

Sorry, but I went to check something...I thought it was a .38 but I have a .357 Magnum, and that is too hard for him to handle the recoil on, but would it eventually become easier for him to handle? Have him shoot light .38 loads through it so he doesn't pull anticipating recoil. At 14 he should ha...

Re: Looking for a firearm for my son...

I know some here may disagree with me but I'm going to say at 800 to 1,000 go AR. It's light, easy to customize, ammo is "cheap" low recoil, etc. I would also say that you buy it striped and build your own. Save a little bit of money, learn the gun inside & out and have a father son project all in ...

Re: Looking for a firearm for my son...

.38/.357 caliber Marlin lever-action guns are very fun, accurate, and shoulder more naturally than any other rifle I've ever fired. They can also be fitted with any manner of scopes or aftermarket sights. They can be had in the $400-$500 range. Advantage to this is that then you buy a wheel gun for...

Re: If your shooting at 1,000 meters, what powered scope?

I didn't read all of the other posts so sorry if you hear an echo... Is this a situation where you want to be able to engage out to 1,000 meters or you plan on engaging out to 1,000 meters? This is a big difference. If you are using the rifle for everything from 100-1000 then I'd take a nice 3.5x15 ...
