Re: Survival bracelets = mall ninja?

A lady at a store saw mine and asked me where I have been deployed. When I told her I wasn't military she looked at me all crazy for having it. I was all "damn, didn't know I had to 'earn' one like that." So far that's the only person that noticed it though. I dont wear mine because its cool or anyt...

First Handgun recommendations

Any of the handguns mentioned are far from pocket pistols. The OP has already said he wants a sub compact, why is everyone pointing him towards the opposite end of the spectrum instead of helping with his decision. Ultimately it's your decision what size gun you want to carry and what will be comfor...

First Handgun recommendations

I daily carry the S.A. XD 9 sub compact. I carry IWB at about 3:30 to 4:00 position and it's not too bad. I also use the N82 holster and it's pretty comfy. If you got any questions about it feel free to message me. And I don't want to sound like a dick, but yeah, smaller barrels = less accuracy, but...

Motorcycle noob needs advice (multiple questions)

Mostly depends on how long you plan on keeping this bike. For just a learner I would go with about a 500. But for a keeper, if you go for a sports bike I would go for nothing less than a 600, if it's more of a cruiser you decide on I would go for 750. I've had a shadow and a ninja and there is a wor...

22lr rifle for my 10yo son's birthday

I vote for 10/22. If you want him to learn how to take his time and learn to make each shot count then just give him 1 bullet at a time since you will be supervising. This way you have a very reliable semi auto and he can still use it like a single shot, and he will have to move the action each time...

Awkard moments or negative responses while using your EDC!

I've always carried a pocket knife for as long as I can remember and years ago I worked for a beverage company as a merchandiser( I put drinks on shelves in grocery stores). And when they would come into the stock room they were on pallets stacked about 8 feet tall or so and heavily wrapped with shr...

What have you bought in the last 48 hours?(firearms related)

Bought what will be my first carry weapon, a used Walther PK380 that is missing the tear down key, but came with a second mag so I'm not too upset about that. Got Winchester elite personal defense rounds to go in it, not very familiar with personal defense rounds, but the guy spoke highly of them. A...

You should check out SOG. They have a nice line up at Bass Pro for around $50 and you can see how they feel to you.

MK III 22/45 range trip

Decided to purchase a gently used Ruger MK III 22/45 Target model with bull barrel and Weaver scope mount Saturday from a LGS so i could have something to shoot for cheap. After dealing with the less than desirable salesman I almost didn't buy it, but i couldn't pass it up for $220, the only way you...

Ruger mk iii 22/45 trouble

Thanks guys for the advice, 2 mins after I started messing with the gun I was able to take the mainspring back out and put it back in right, looks like I will be going to the range today afterall! I'll probably post some pics in a new thread tonight.

Ruger mk iii 22/45 trouble

I've been checking ruger mk forums and it seems like its just more time consuming and tedious to get it unstuck. Probably won't hurt to learn some kind of black magic to use on it too. Thanks for the quick replies, I purchased it as the store/range was closing so I'm really hoping I can get it back ...

Ruger mk iii 22/45 trouble

Today I purchased the above pistol pre-owned from a gunshop. Got it home and the internals were filthy so I decided to break it down for a much needed cleaning(didn't strip it all the way). After cleaning I started reassembly. Everything went smoothly... until I started putting the main spring housi...

M.V.I. graphic photos.

I was in a similar accident on my motorcycle. A car turned and stopped in front of me when I was going 40mph and I was so close to him the only thing I could do was hit the side of the car, ended up getting thrown over the hood and landed on my hip and rolled onto my face. Miraculously I only suffer...
