Re: What are you playing?

PLAYSTATION network account hacked? IDK. So today I get an email from my CC Co. that they denied a purchase from the PS Store for $109 today. What?? I didn't buy anything today, I'm at work. And I also get a standard 'thank you for your purchase' email from Playstation for $59.99. The $109 w...

Re: Small generators

Well, the Wen generator came in Saturday. It's still sitting in the box because my half-day task to clean up my office turned into a day-and-a-half task just to get it usable. Maybe next weekend, depending on some truck purchasing activity; I found a couple...er, decent options. They're almo...

Re: Bug Out Bag for Baby

The pack of wipes pictured are 56, sorry, not a great picture, and my wife and I both have the same pack in each of our bags. The compressed ones require more water, so I opted for pre moistened. The ones in those premoistened packs also have a volume of air along with the wipes, so their volume is...

Re: Bug Out Bag for Baby

On what you've already done: I would suggest removing the travel sized wipes and replacing them with 1 or 2 full sized packs or using something like the compressed ones if all you've added is the one pack shown in the photos. As you know, one pack won't last long especially when you're using it to ...

Re: Bug Out Bag for Baby

These might be something to look into, Compressed Wipes. Just add water. I have them but have not done extensive testing. I can fit a bunch in an altoids tin, a waterproof pill container, a 3x5 jewelers ziplock, and they come with a plastic container also. They are advertised as GREAT FOR SENSITIVE ...

Necro! I was doing a lot of burpees and body weight exercises. I am now shifting to kettlebells since they are finally beginning to trickle back into stores. I'm just doing some simple beginner movements with 20 lbs, and if I stick with it for a few months I'm allowed to get a 40 lb bell. I really ...

A titanium MD with hexagonal ports was the first thing I thought of, and then I look at the link for the V seven and go, yep, I'd do that in titanium.
Why would that lock you into a particular barrel nut/handguard? :?: to add some silver into it?

What's the lead time on ordering custom bbls these days? ...well, we’re about to find out. Says 2 weeks when in the build configurator, but will be happy if it gets here in under 12 weeks. 14.5” .223 Wylde with mid-length gas from Columbia River Arms (Black Hole Weaponry). Very nice. That must be a...

I don't roll my own ammo, but I've got about twenty or so .45 ACP cases I've kept for awhile. It's all once fired brass, not range floor pick ups. I had planned on getting some epoxy resin from Hobby Lobby and making a paperweight with it, but I figure it's more valuable as brass than a paperweight...

Re: Firearms Chat: [2021 - Aw, FFS!]

Has anyone experimented with using a magnifier flip mount for a sight? I'm wondering if a good quality one would hold zero well enough for a maximum of 50 yards. Most likely use would be well under a hundred feet. I've got a gen 1 keltec sub2k that I really like but even more dislike the sight. I w...

Re: Most common ammo's in US?

I have a Colt airsoft 1911, purchased for basically just this reason (cheaper practice). At household ranges, the biggest issue I've had is that it went through two cardboard boxes (4 layers of corrugated coardboard) and chipped my back door. Strictly speaking the operations are also slightly diffe...

The only 'tool' I can think of is a Chamber Flag, and Eye And Ear protection. Oh, and a safety trainging course. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_k07pirzBU34/S74Ov3wDFmI/AAAAAAAAEU0/D2qLkuwiG8Q/s1600/ChamberChecker_General.jpg And there's the actual safety switch itself, but it's not a tool. I don't think ...

Re: What WILL/DID you do with that stimulus check? (Round 2)

Since it was half the first amount, and I'm trying to reach a certain level of liquid 'emergency reserves', it got mixed in with that; sort of like adding a quart of water to a gallon of water in a 5 gallon container. If I didn't see it happen I wouldn't have noticed anything. That's where the first...

Re: Vehicle get home bag list?

Mine isn't really all in one bag, it is divided up into multiple 'kits' kept in the car that can be combined and customized based on the situation or used individually as needed. I've simplified those vehicle related GBH situations into two basic scenarios as my basis: Breakdown en route Any scenari...

Re: No, really honey, last one...I promise: Aereus Lev

If you can make a weight reduction concession over optimal performance, why not do a pistol length on the 14.5" or do your preferred mfr's not customize that? I'd go for mid length even though I'd never reach the round count for the wear difference to make a difference over carbine length. What is ...

Glue traps and .22LR rat-shot shells are the answer.
My Grandpa called that snake shot. Not for use in the house though. I think I still have a few rounds of his left. Must be over 40 years old now.
